• I loved the way he looked right now. His arms stretched to God, the way the light perfectly lighted his face, and how the light reflected off his glasses. His eyes were shut tight, so that the ugly world wouldn't disrupt his peaceful moment. His mouth was wide open, singing words he did not know, but wanting to sing. he towered over many of the people, like a tall tree, even though he was younger than some of them. He was 15, the youngest you could be was 12, and the oldest was 18.

The band was playing so loud you had to yell to talk to the person next to you. You could not make out individual voices, but you could tell who was singing. He sang, "if grace were an ocean, we'd all be sinking..." He opened his eyes as the song ended moments later. Our eyes met, and my heart gave a violent jump. The pastor closed the worship session and everybody walked out of the large room. I walked out, with many of my friends, and saw him out there messing around with his friends. I swear, he had the most beautiful eyes. They were an orange red, like the color of a sunset or the color of a leaf in Autumn.

"Yo, Kaleb! we're heading out there, grab your board will ya?" Kaleb grabbed his skateboard and headed outside to join his friends. I turned around to listen to one of my friends who was talking about him. "It's such a shame he's gay." Whoa, I was shocked. "He's not gay Lynsey..." I sounded unsure, even though I was. "Well, he doesn't date anyone. Not a single person. Makes you wonder right?" The others nodded in agreement. "No? And sooo? It doesn't mean anything. He might not be allowed to or maybe he doesn't want one." She rolled her eyes, flipped her hair, and walked away with her minions. How I hated her sometimes....
