    Part 2

Nia slips on her slippers and quickly walk into the bathroom. Brushes her teeth walks out and enters the laundry room in the garage. Puts on a blue pair of jeans, two socks, and a small blue tie-dye shirt, it fits her perfectly because she's very small for her age. Then walks through the kitchen that leads to the living room which her mother sleeps on the couch and her grandfather spends most of his time in the other chair sleeping And her mother sits there every day scratching lotto tickets that she never wins. Nia walks back to her room combs her hair and grabs her back pack Heading back toward the living room and out the door with Deen tumbling noisily after. The sun's very bright today, only it won't last because its about to rain and Nia already discovered that from her dream. The weather was warm however, and Deen wouldn't stop throwing ancient trivia questions of their Michael Angelo writting project for Mrs. Dawns Literature class. "YES, YES! ALREADY! I know!" Nia yelled.

"Hi Ni-ya! How come your yelling at Deen today?" Asked Daicia riding on her tricycle up next to Nia and Deen. " Oh nothing Daicia. Go home it's too early for you to be outside." Said Nia. Daicia rode up in her yard. The bus pulled up just ahead of Deen and Nia just then. Nia and Deen's slow walk quickly transformed into a fast run and they got on the bus sitting one seat ahead of the other. Nia perferred to sit alone so she put her entire leg in the spare space of her seat and leaned against the window. When she looked to the side of her seat she saw a boy that had the same color of skin like Deen's only paler, she did see him before. A very awkward guy, his hair is blond from the tips down to darker brownish color the same as deen's only deen's hair was Brown all over, and wore glasses. Nia didn't know the boy's name and since her and Deen where the last ones to be picked up for school and the first ones dropped off she didn't know where the boy lived. He also was silent all the time and looked sick. Nia thought he had the common cold everyday of the week, but from her knowlege it wasn't any of her business.

When They arrived at school the bell rang as soon as the bus pulled in front of the stairs leading toward the school door. Her and Deen ran up the stairs and went inside the glass double doors leading into the main hall. " See you later Niaa." Said Deen breaking away to the direction of his first period. Nia however walked down the hall passed the gym up the stairs on the farthest end to the second floor just to waist time. Then into room 110. Through out the day Her body was still sore from the dream she had last night. As, if she'd really been through that experience. Well what ever it was she was feeling it now and so after third period she had a horrible hand cramp and spent about an hour in the nurse's office, told her to not consider using it for awhile, gave her ice bag, and to drink more water because she was dehydrated. Nia liked being in the nurses care, made her feel very better even though she was in pain. The nurse even told Nia that even though she was soo short for her age her beautiful face makes up for it.

Nia just had to laugh at the nurses boldness, usually she would have told the nurse to go pull fern but she didn't want to ruin the nurse concentration off her hurting body. Afterwards it was fifth period. And Nia really started thinking about what the nurse said about her being beautiful... She certaintly didn't feel beautiful. And didn't like being told that... It made her feel funny. What people seem on the outside... Can be a totally different matter on the inside. When people see my face and look into my eyes they find them selves looking at a girl thats been loved a lot... Psh... Well, I can only try to act normal, but whats done in the dark always comes to the light. A friend taught me that. Teacher uttering words about an assignment that was due today in the background of Nia's thoughts. She sounds blurry like every voice. Like the clouds that can't be detected in a grey sky...

"Ms. Heart?" Nia looked up quickly snapping back into reality. Everyone's looking at her now. "Are you ready to present Ms. Heart?" Asked Mrs. Dawn. "Uh-Yes, YeS! I'm ready!..." Nia studdered miserably... "Sometime today I hope?" Said Mrs. Dawn. " OH! Yes, right!... Ok!" Nia stumbled toward the front of the class with her paper in hand. The class giggled much, but Deen slightly slapped his face and sighed as if he was embarrassed for her. See, now Nia hated that. If she could cope with her own humiliation before, she felt she could cope with it now, let alone all the humiliation's he caused her. As she held the written sentiment in her hands she felt her uncertainties evolving into anger. She began. " Michael Angelo was a man.... .. With a short temper. He caused and abundance of trouble in his life." Nia's teeth began to grit the words and her voice was decending to a lower tone. "People wanted... His head for what he done... But one day he saw himself as bad so,... He painted his head on a picture.

And when he was.. was on his way to deliever for pardon he was jailed and-" Nia was cut off "Miss I can't hear a world she's saying!" complained a voice. And many others come after... But Nia kept reading.. "By the time ... He could go... He was too late." Nia said Faintly. And she rushed back to her seat but was stopped. "Ms. Heart!"Called Mrs. Dawn. "Is this the end of your presentation?". "Yes, I'm done." Nia grouched.
