• I remember that day so vivid and clearly. It stands out in my mind like a large diamond in a pile of dull stones. I sat in the meadow. The sun was setting peacefully on the horizon. I took everything in. The moment seemed so perfect. Everything had been so relatively perfect at that time. I leaped into the air, gliding smoothly between air currents, as I watched intricate patterns blown through the grass below by the wind. I loved flying. I took a dive, and I had to admit, it was a pretty darn good one too. I landed behind my target… stalking closer…

“Boo!” I yelled, in a false attempt to scare him. I was in a good mood so why not joke a little. But he just looked at me, clearly not amused. “Hey Drake,” I tried again. This time I got a response.

“They’ve started a war again,” he mumbled. The words came out broken and clumsy. But, by the sternness of his voice I knew this wasn’t a joke.

“B-Bu-But…why?’ I chocked out.. I was in shock. No, not shock... that’s an understatement… I was on the verge of having a mental breakdown.

“Sheer boredom,” He answered calmly. This made me mad. I went on for a couple minuets about why it was wrong to have a war for no reason and how angry I was and a couple other things. Drake sat there and listened to my protest I want sure if he was actually paying attention but I kept going. When I finally ran out of things to say… Drake replied with a plain old yep. Just a yep, as if he didn’t care about anything I said. I must have had a flabbergasted look on my face because Drake gave a loud, sort of exasperated sigh.

“Come on Zar, it’s not like we can do anything about it. Weather we like it or not its happening.” He said. I had to admidt… he was right.
