• Chapter 1




    Kuruno rose from bed slowly but firmly. He immediatly focused on the surroundings of his new house, preferably his new bedroom. In the middle of the room backed up to the wall was his bed. Then beside his bed were two matching nightstands. One had a paper lantern and the other a radio that focused on one single station. He got out of bed focusing more closely at the wall now. on his right wall was a rather large window gazing out into a bamboo forest. Close enough to see was a large stream intercepted by a red bridge that crossed the flow. on his left wall were a few wall scrolls and the floor was polished bamboo. he walked out of his room only to find his parents discussing the matter of whether they would go to the local park today. They finally decided to go but only keep where they were going a secret from Little kuruno. He walked in immediately after the conversation. His parents told him to go get his clothes on and that they were going somewhere fun today. he quickly got dressed and him and his partents walked out of the door. they strolled down the large hill that their house sat atop. finally they reached the main path which connected the whole area to itself. After about 10 minutes of walking they reached the park and little kuruno's parents told him to go play. "yay!" the little boy yelled. then he went to go ride the merry go round'.
    a few minutes later his parents were sitting on a bench watching their preacious child. But, just then, a group of teenagers walked into the park. They looked rather strange wearing hats and all wearing pants. there were four of them, one girl and 3 guys. They then pulled out some katana's. weird enough the teenagers started killing all of the children. when the parents tried to stop them they were killed too. Eventually the teenagers found little kuruno backed into a corner. one person raised his katana ready to slash. he then swung but was knocked aside by kuruno's father. the only downside to this was that there was a rather large cut gaping at kuruno's eye. then suddenly kuruno started running toward the benches trying to find cover. he sat under a bench looking toward the group of people and his parents. the people then killed kuruno's parents and he watched gravely. his parents fell to the ground dead. the people didn't see little kuruno so they ran away. their hats falling off as they went. Kuruno remembered two important details from that day. one, what the people looked like, and two, that they had what looked like cat ears.
