• I sat in the carriage wondering what to do now. Being taken away from your parents isn't the easiest thing ya' know. One minute I'm laughing and having a grand ol' time, the next thing I knew, the palace was looking for female servants through the ages of 14 and 18 and I'm 15, an almost perfect age. They said I had a nice body and would come in handy. I don't know how they saw me but I have long dark hair, yeah not all too unusual around here. But I have silver eyes speckled with gold, like the sun just starting to appear after a storm. Many people crossed their fingers at me, in belief that the devil gave me these eyes. People here are insane, they believe that if you don't pray before you sleep something bad will take you away from everything you ever loved. I haven't prayed before and look at me I'm. . . in a carriage being taken away. Huh. Maybe I should've prayed. I shrugged my shoulders and looked out of the carriage window. There was a fat man sitting next to me who was balding at the top of his head. It scared everytime we went over a bump because I was afraid he would come down so hard he'd fling me from the seat. A giant stone building came into view and the fat man got excited.
"Oh, Prince Williams will be happy with what we've found." he grinned to another young man who was sitting across the carriage from him. He had blonde hair that was out of sorts and brown eyes that reminded me of dirt. Yup, dirt.
    Romantic isn't it?
"I bet he'll be thrilled, she's a nice one." the young man said as if I wasn't there. I narrowed my eyes and glared at him but he didn't seem to care. The carriage came to a slow stop and the door was opened to check if any intruders were trying to sneek in. The boy who opened it was around my age. He had brown hair that was about two shades darker than my own and he had eyes of the bluest skies, the kind of eyes that you would dream about. He looked to both of the men and nodded but when he looked to me he froze. It was almost as if the whole entire carriage had disappeared, and so had the two men.
"Goodness Phillip! Shut that door so we can go!" the fat man instructed. The boy nodded and shut the door. We headed off again but only for a couple of seconds, then we came to a stop and the door opened again. I got out last and there before me was a giant double wood door. I looked around and had to bite down hard so I wouldn't go into hysterics. We were only two feet from the boy that had checked the carriage. How that was funny, I'm not sure, but I wanted to laugh.
"Aren't you coming my dear, Prince Williams is waiting to meet you." the fat man smiled. He reached out for me but I stepped away and then walked in front of him towards the doors.
"I'm not your dear, in fact I may be the evilest child you've brought here, oh, and I could give less of a damn if Prince Wiliams meets me or not." I informed him. I heard a snicker and looked behind me. The boy was following at are heels.
"Well, I'm sorry to hear you feel that way, Prince Williams is most anxious to meet you." the fat man replied. He turned to the boy who was staring at the ground as if embarassed.
"Phillip, will you show the miss here to Prince Williams, I have- other things to take care of." the fat man said. Phillip nodded and motioned for me to follow. I didn't want to but I assumed I had to follow anyway. I mean, they took me from my home when I was unwilling to go, I think they'd do it again to get me to follow. The great big wood doors opened before us and he strode in. I followed after quickly so I wouldn't get lost. The first room was HUGE. It had three stair cases all leading to the same hall. The wood was a dark mahogany (did I spell that right?) and had beautiful carvings in the hand railing. As I was gaping at the room, the boy, Phillip, had walked off without me. I glanced around frantically.
"Hey, uh, Phillip?" I called, "Phillip?!"
    "Yes?"
I whipped my head around to see him with a smirk on his face.
"Do you think that was funny?" I asked incrediously. He nodded and then tried to hide a snicker with a cough.
"And what about it was so funny? You nearly scared me to death!" I scowled.
"I'm I hearing right, you scared this poor maiden?" a voice as smooth as silk flowed into the room. I saw Phillip bow and I turned around. My god, he was gorgeous. He had blonde hair that was cut in a shaggy manner. He wore a shirt that was button up, but not buttoned up all the way. It showed his pale, smooth chest. There as something about him thought, something that tore me from my reverie. I couldn't quite put my finger on it until he looked at me. He eyes had the slightest hint of red. Uh-oh.
