• He looked at her in pain. "What the hell are you doing here?" he asked.
"Something told me you would be here." she said slowly unable to make the words come out.
"You -" he was nearly yelling. He paused, looked around to see the strangers in the alley looking at them, and lowered his voice. "You shouldn’t be here. It’s too dangerous. You know what they would do to you if they found out you were here."
He looked at her thoroughly. She was wearing black baggy jeans with dark steel-toe boots. She had on a black shirt. A dark cloak covered her face to where he could only see her pale skin, the tip of her nose, and her mouth. She was intimidating him in a nerve-racking kind of way, and she didn’t even know it.
She took in his familiar appearance. His shaggy, black hair covered his eyes. The smoothed look of his cheek. She could smell the mixture of aftershave and cologne swarming around him. The moonlight hit his face just enough so that she could see behind his hair and into his piercing eyes. For a moment, a glint of silver shown in them. She was suddenly frightened and regretted coming.
"Uhm. I think I better go." she said, turning away.
He grabbed her arm. "No. You can’t just leave."
She struggled to break free. "Lemme go!" she shouted. Wrong move.
He put her hand over her mouth. "Do you honestly want to be killed?" he asked her. "You can’t just shout random crap here. If anyone finds out that you are here, you will be punished with torture ‘til death. And I can’t let that happen. Got it?" he asked her.
    She nodded.
"OK. Good." He was still covering her mouth, just incase she decided to shout again.
She could feel that he wasn’t gonna budge. So, she closed her eyes and imagined the old times when they used to mess around and not have to act all awkward.
She missed that. But she definitely wouldn’t let him know that. Not now.
He waited a few moments and realized that this wasn’t going anywhere. So he uncovered her mouth and let her go.
"Sorry." he told her in an unenthusiastic way.
"Whatever." she said. There was a reason for her coming but now she couldn’t bring herself to say it. He had already ruined it for her.
He looked at her in an odd way. And then smiled.
"What?!" she asked in a low voice.
"Nothing." he said, trying not show his feelings for her.
"No, tell me what your smiling about." she demanded. She had no patience left.
"Well, it’s just that I can’t come up with another solution as to why your here except for that you miss me. I mean why else would you be here?" he asked.
"You are so arrogant. I can’t believe that you think that - that - I cant be-" she couldn’t bring herself to say that he was lying to her. That he was trying to trick her. But he had figured it out. She missed him so much. She didn’t want things to end the way they did. And she regretted their ending.
"You what?" he asked, wanting to look into her eyes for any sign of affection.
"Nothing, never mind. Coming here was a mistake. Please escort me out of here so I can move on with my life." she pleaded.
"NO." he stood firm. He wasn’t about to let her go again. Not like the first time. She was secretly too important to him to let her go again.
"Fine." she said as she quickly turned just out of his reach. "Then I will go on my own." she said turning her back to him with a swift movement.
He was going to reach out and grab her and take her into his arms, before something stopped him. He couldn’t bring himself to do it. Something was holding him back that he couldn’t ignore. So he watched her walk out of his sight, and into the darkness.....
