• Prologue

    Darkness enveloped my entire body. A darkness that seemed very familiar, yet felt like a complete stranger. It was filled with something horrible, something that nobody wants to face. Hatred, sadness, anger, and pain. Something that passes you by quickly, but stretches so far that it feels like forever. What was this? Why was this horrible darkness surrounding me? What have I done? But I already knew the answer. I had let my guard down, and this is the price that I must pay. I had defied my own law, and this is the consequence. But why was it so harsh? I had slipped for only a few seconds and this befell me.
    My eyes strained to adjust to the dark. All I could see besides endless corridors of pitch black was blood. Blood was spilled everywhere. Who’s? Who’s blood was it? Mine? My mind started to warp as I struggled to remember what happened exactly. The only thing that came to mind was one word. It was that one word that set something off. There was an uproar that pierced through the darkness and blood like a razor with a tip thinner than paper. A sharp pain suddenly stabbed through me, and I felt as if thousands of needles were jabbing into my brain all at once. Silence followed after one last earsplitting shriek within the uproar, and with that, my memory was wiped clean. The only memories that remained were how to walk, stand, eat, and communicate with other live things. Everything that I knew about myself, completely gone. All after that one word that explained what had just happened;
