• Deep in the heart of the darkest forest lives a old circus. It is the circus of nightmares, horrors, and everything man fears. Creatures of the night, the undead, and those who would burn in the light perform here. You can enter to see the show, but if you do not get out in time then you will be doomed to remain a slave there forever. Now the circus is not the only thing there, no, it is only the heart. The grounds around are a long abandoned carnival that comes alive only at night. Those who come to watch and experience at night lose their memory of where this marvelously dark place is, but they will never forget the amazing things they have seen, and perhaps go see once more... Now, the grounds owner does not like the press, or recording devices of any at all, those things are forbidden here. Lately there have been strange occurrences, occurrences not purposely intended. What is going on here? Will the danger escalate with the full moon? Who will be caught in the middle? Will The course of the night Be A NightMare ….

Darkness, that is all she ever saw. She had to rely on herself or her faithful companion Leon to get around. Sometimes the people at the circus would help because they felt sorry. Dawn Lynn the tightrope princess was blind , I bet some of you are wondering if she is blind then why tightrope? Because she liked to challenge herself. To her it is the simplest thing now after many years of practice but she still couldn't help but to smile when she started to think about when she decided to join the circus four years ago.

    Flashback

A thirteen year old Dawn Lynn was running around the circus grounds trying to find her way inside before the show started. Tonight was the night. This is chance to perform in front of the circus crowd for the first time. Dawn Lynn was jumping in place getting warmed up. She felt eyes on her but she just pushed it away nothing and she meant nothing was going to ruin this for her. Her name was finally called and she started walking over to the ladder. She was told it was about 90 feet off the ground. She heard the crowd clapping as she took her first step. She was doing good until she got to the middle, that is when her foot slip and she fell. Dawn Lynn Went Into Shock. After a while it all stopped and her body became numb, she heard screaming and people rushing over but that all faded away in a couple of seconds. When she awakened the doctor told her that she had a cast and this might be the last time she performed.

    End of flashback.

Four years passed since that day and Dawn Lynn couldn't help but to laugh. That old fool think that a broken leg was going to stop her from preforming! Dawn Lynn stepped out on to the high wire practicing for the next show. She started doing cartwheels and back walk overs until she was all the way across. She did it a couple more times…..

Mama Mystery was lazily resting in her hammock. Her hat pulled over her eyes to shield them from the waning sunlight. It was going to be another hectic night, but that's what the old girl signed up for when she added the circus. Never a dull moment save the day time. She took a long slurp of her margahrieta and then sighed. Get up old lady it's time to get everything ready to go. I hope everyone else is getting up. Such a pain to wake the dead. She thought to her self as she turned over and fell out, face down into the dusty floor of her trailer. She stood, dusted off, grabbed her walking stick and headed out. A few claps of her hands and the skeleton's rose from the swamps and grounds they rested in. "Well now old chaps you know I am one to do things on a schedule. I run a tight ship you know this, punctuality is key. Let's get everything up and ready my dears." She said and then headed out to check up on everyone else. She loved her job, as hectic, crazy, insane, and tiresome as it may be. This place was her home now, the performers where her family. She could ask for nothing more. As Mama Mystery gazed at the large circus tent a smile crept on her face. The anniversary performance would be coming up, what a show she had planned for that. Something though made that smile fade quickly. Strange things where going on. What or who was to blame She didn't know. All she knew is that things where getting worse, and this was unacceptable! If anything happened to any of her family members Mama Mystery would go on the warpath, and a giant imp like herself is not one to be tested. She walked on as she thought about it all and caught a glimpse of Dawn Lynn, the Princess of the tightrope. Mama Mystery walked into the area the tightrope Princess was, "Hello my deary. How goes the act tonight? All is well I hope." She said to the girl with a smile on her face….

Dawn Lynn had just reached the other end. Then a voice came out of no where, it was Mama Mystery voice. Dawn Lynn smiled. "Hello Mama, The act is going well just working on a few kinks" She giggled and jumped into the net. She always loved jumping off the highropes, because when she hit the bottom she would fly up and down. Dawn Lynn giggled and walked over to Mama Mystery "What time is the show Mama? I want to look my best!" she exclaimed, she always thought a princess should look her best!

Mama Mystery watched as the girl jumped down. It made her heart leap when the girl did so, but there was always a net when the girl did it on purpose. She sighed in relief when the girl got up and walked over to her. With a pat on the head Mama Mystery replied, "A few hours from now. I just got out of me trailer my dear. How is Leon?" She asked as she eyed the little black birdie. It was a little comical that a blind skull fairy would have a seeing eye bird, where as most beings had a seeing eye dog. It was all in preferences though Mama Mystery supposed. She hugged the girl, "I am glad you are here, a new face is great and I am very proud of what you have accomplished in the short time you've been here my dear." She said to the girl. So far Dawn Lynn was the youngest to ever join with the circus. "I hope you stay for a long time." She added with a tender voice. She would have to go check on the others soon too, but a little visit with everyone was always welcome…

Today, like every other, was a practice day. The busy dwarf triplets we set to work on her tank. Not that she'd be using it on stage. After all, those loafers were just now getting around to it. Overhead she hinted the noise of buzzing bats, probably 'accidentally' set free mere moments before inspection. Rabies were no joke, to humans at least. Personally, Evelyn would love to watch a patron wig out over a measely bat bite. It drove her to giggles.

Actually, Evelyn herself was supposed to be test driving her new upcoming act. The feathery white dress around her circled her hips and hovered just above the middle of her thighs. The corset piece curved above her chest and allowed her back free space. White lace sandals slid upon her feet, lead wrapped laces up to her knees. Also donning white cuffs and a feathered laurel, the woman dared to be bold. An ironic appeal for Evelyn. The design suggested an angel. Yet this woman was anything but.

"Marquise," she hummed lightly, "easy on the glass sheet, that tank is easily broken." Instead the stocky drawf scrubbed hardly. Mumbling incoherently as she sauntered off. Mama was sure to be rallying her talents for their performances. A few moments after stepping outside of her tent, a loud clap of falling glass resonated from behind her. Rolling her eyes a usual smirk lit her lips. The shapeshifter was most certainly catty. Almost graceful, but not as skillful as her tongue. The woman had a way with words. What else could she say. Although her real thoughts lay on whom the newcomer was. 'Dawn Lynn' was it? Great, they'd finally found that neat little tightroper. …
