• It was a miserable day and I felt pretty hurt. I texted Venny and said I would go to the dance with him. When I got home I got five texts four from Katie and one from Sal. I deleted Katie’s texts and I read Sal’s. Sal said that he wanted to know if my friend, Isabel had a date for the dance. I called Isabel to find out she said no and I texted back to Sal. I could see Sal really liked Isabel and thought they would be a good couple. That day was the most boring sad day I ever had.

    The past few days went by and I didn’t talk to Katie. I started to talk to my old friend, Debbie she was the coolest friend I knew and Katie was jealous of her. Debbie was kind of weird. Debbie and I were talking until Venny should up. He said that we should go back out and I agreed. Venny and I started talking about random stuff. “So I’m gonna leave you two alone” Debbie said as leaving to go to her boyfriend, Nick. (Preston’s best friend) “Iris- why did we break up?” Venny asked. “I don’t know you moved away and I guess along distance relationship would be hard” I said. “So I’m happy that you didn’t go out with Preston cause he cheats on all the girls he goes out with and I don’t want to see you hurt. I mean you’re beautiful, crazy, cool, smart, and you have many talents. You can sing, dance, and draw.” He said. “Ohhh thank you Venny you’re pretty cool too” I said.

    Days went by fast and the dance was tomorrow and I was hardly ready. I was going to wear my Hawaiian skirt, a bikini top, and like ten lays. I needed to get some more Hawaiian stuff. When I got to school in the morning I saw Preston and Katie holding hands. I’m just saying but they were a bad couple I mean a white girl and a Latino boy. When I say white girl I mean blonde. I never really liked Katie and now she’s now one of my worst friends but I didn’t care I was going out with Venny. Now that I was with Venny I didn’t care about much. He made me happy and that only mattered. Also I got my mind off Preston. The big jerk that had hurt many girls in his life. I saw Venny come over he was looking really good today. “Hey Iris don’t you think were a better couple then Preston and Katie?” he asked. “Of course” I said. Then Venny and me left to go to our classes.
