• Foreword

Before I post the stories, I feel I should explain a couple of things first. First, I did not create this series or the characters. A friend of mine, Jeo-Chan here on Gaia, created it. She based it off the place we worked at together. The name of the place where the Characters work is called the Fegal Theater and then their competitor, The Superior Theater. The owner of the Fegal Theater is Bush. Bush is short with mid length hair, coming just below his eyes. Bush is also obsessed with zombies and believes that one of his employee's, Mark, is one. Because of this, Bush is constantly trying to kill Mark every chance he can, but also knows he needs Mark most of the time. His other employee is Jeo-Chan. She is under paid and unappreciated. She also has to beat Bush to take her smoke brake as he claims to never have time to give her one. Zombie Mark is tall with mid-length brown hair and Jeo-Chan is short with long black hair. The owner of the Superior Theater is owned by Count Kenny, a childhood friend of Bush that wants to put Bush out of business. So know you know just about all their is to know about Zombie Mark. Just know it was written to be drawn into a comic, so there's little detail in it as too the character design and all. Hope every one likes it. This story is part one of four short stories/. Unfortunately, I had part 2 and 3 written but lost them when my computer crashed not long ago. I'm rewriting them, but it's taking time. Hope you enjoy this. If you do, I have another story I finished a while back from the series call Zombie Mark and the Superior Spy I'll post. Please give some feedback as I can use all the help I can get. And yes, it was this series gave me my nickname, which then became my screen name.

    PART 1
    Meet the Meerkats

It was another long day at the Fegal Theater. Bush finished polishing his favorite AK47, he puts it back into the weapons lab and heads down to the lobby so he can go out and get some food. The only thing is, the sight he see’s down in the lobby will haunt him forever.

    The long line had vanished and it as almost time to close down for the day. When he opened the door, he did not expect what he saw. Jeo Chan had already started to clean concession, Zombie Mark had already started cleaning the lobby, but it was the fact that they were not alone that shocked him. Among them were several meerkats carrying brooms and dustpans, rags and cleaning chemicals, trash and trash-bags. They were all dancing and singing as they cleaned. The song went a little like this;

I want to be a Meerkat
So I can run and play
With the other meerkats all day long and
    I want to be Meerkat
So I can run and play
With the other meerkats all day long

The song went on in an endless loop. Bush could only watch in horror as Zombie Mark danced with his broom in hand. It must be dance to entice the living into joining him in his undead state.

Bush quickly grabs the first thing that comes into his hand, a bag of popcorn seeds. He uses his ninja skills to come in quietly behind Zombie Mark, who turns around at the last second. “Huh?” is all he says before the fifty pound bag slams into his head.

At the sight of this, all the meerkats stop what they were doing and stare at Bush. Jeo Chan is the only one who continues dancing and singing for a few minutes before she notices Bush standing there with his arms crossed before his chest.
“What is going on here? Why are rats running around the theater?” Bush yelled.
“Their not rats, their Meerkats. And as for where they came from, Zombie Mark rescued them from somewhere or another. That’s why they were helping us clean, as a think you gift.”
“I don’t want rats or warerats or whatever their called running around the theater. That makes me look like an animal abuser and I love my reputation as it is and I don’t want it to change. So kill them or something, just go get rid of them.”

Jeo Chan looked like she was about to cry. “But Bush, their so cute, and their wonderful cleaners. Just look how well they’ve clean the place in just under an hour, not even psycho janitor you hired dose this well.”
“Mikes not psycho,” Bush claims, “He does his job well and on time.”
“He came running through the theater in the nude yesterday, claiming the trolls were after him.” Jeo Chan shot back.
“So he has a small mental problem.” Bush exclaimed.
“Small?” Jeo Chan “The fact that he then tried to sexually assault three women, beat a customer with a broom he claimed was a sword, then brutally beat a police officer with the trash can lid saying the officer was Golem trying to take his precious. This guy has more then a small mental problem.”

Bush thought this over for a minute. He didn’t remember any of this yesterday, but was wondering why the theater was so messy at opening earlier today. “Maybe your right.” He looks down at what looked to be the leader of the Meerkats, which was trying to revive Zombie Mark by licking his face. “You’re our new cleaning crew now. You clean this place for me every night and I’ll make sure that you have a good place to sleep and eat every day.”

The Meerkats jumped about and started cleaning again. Bush, happy he settled all this mess once and for all, leaves to go to Chic-to-go for some chicken nuggets.

The next day, while everyone enjoyed the movies, there were those who did not enjoy anything that day. In the damp, dark hole under the restrooms, the meerkats tried to sleep. The only thing that Bush had given them was a box that was too small for them all to sleep in and a single popcorn kernel for them to share. The lead meerkats looked up as yet another toilet flushed, a tear sliding down his cheek for the unfairness to his tribe.
