“Mmm…” It tasted saccharine on my tongue. Tasted like…life, love, sweetly bitter existence. My first, deep inhale of breath from the human plain. It was the forbidden fruit. The promise of knowledge and exploration. It was the balance of the Multiverse. Earth.
Father would kill me for being there, I knew. Angels hunted the human plain. Hunted demons like myself. Especially devils. And even more so, what a prize the future queen of hell would be if her head were displayed on a pike to the gods above. Yes father would have loved that!
However, I didn’t care. My life was just beginning. And I intended to see it all. I wanted to experience the true feel Multiverse before I was set on the throne for my lifelong existence. Queen of Hell… YUCK!!! Who could ever want such a thing? To be trapped by one’s family heritage and forced to look over a realm that was oh, so, very boring; why would anyone want that?!
No. That sort of thing definitely wasn’t for me. I wanted to taste the worlds in all their glory. I wanted to feel them pulse around me. I wanted to consume their life by drawing breath and taste its sorrows and joys and pleasures and pain. Life on earth had such a fantastic taste. And I wanted to taste more. Oh, how delicious it was! Freedom!
I was addicted to it. To the exploration. To the promise of hidden secrets—there for the taking—to be taken by me. A smile tugged playfully at the corners of my mouth and soon blossomed into a grin. It was only pure coincidence that I had arrived from hell on a sweltering beach in Florida. The United States hmm? Interesting… I thought as I made my way across the water and onto the sand.
My pale, almost blue, bare feet only touched the surface of the water. Luckily no one else was around to see, at least that’s what I thought. But what did I care. Many of the humans believe a man called Jesus walked on water. I wondered if they knew that particular man had not been human at all. Oh well. It was their choice to believe what they wanted. I stepped onto the still warm sand of the beach and made my way to the bustling humans.
The sun reflected off of my strangely colored skin as it was setting, creating my silhouette in its light. I could see the moon rising before me, over buildings and shacks. Strange how humans were only just getting started with their daily—or nightly I should say—activities. It was actually quite refreshing. I preferred the night to the day anyway. Especially in hell where the days heated and the nights were icy-cold. It was a dramatic change in weather down there…every day.
My attire—purely white, ripped and frayed pants and an equally purposefully, destroyed and vibrant white, tank top—though bizarre did not seem to stand out as overly unusual among the teenage generation of the humans. It was—what did they call it? —“Punk rock”. My shock of short, choppy, feathery, electric blue hair turned heads among them but only in astonishment and interest.
I smiled brightly, intrigued by every detail of their actions, as I wondered through the crowd. They took notice of me but did not approach. Could they sense something was different about me? I didn’t consider so. Humans weren’t really all that smart when it came to demons. If they were they would have noticed that there were many already among them. Even here at this little beach.
There were in fact some demons there. My aura reached them at least and when they noticed they gave a respectful and cleverly hidden inclination of their head to me. Respect for the Princess of Hell. This was not something I enjoyed, and in fact found it particularly annoying. A disgusted sneer tried to find its way to my lips, and a growl pushed up from deep within my throat. But I bit both of them back and kept my smile plastered on my face. I would not deal with them unless they gave me trouble.

Part One...
A story without an actual title. One I made up off the top of my head and am unsure if I shall continue. C&C would be greatly appreciated. I'd like comments on whether or not I should continue. I know nothing's really happened yet but it will. Please do not take any offense to anything I write. - Date: 03/12/2009
