• God has sent two angels from heaven
    The angels would observe his creations
    the angels would go in a guisse
    the guisse of poor people
    if there was anything wrong
    the angels were allowed to intervene

    one day the angels went to a wealthy mans' estate
    they knocked on the door and the wealthy man answered
    "what is your business here?" the man asked
    the older angel replied "We wish to stay for the night?"
    "well i guess the basment is empty"
    during the night the older angel found a crack on the wall
    he observed it and sealed it
    the younger angel asked "Why do you help a man with this much money"
    the older angel replied "It's not what it seems"
    in the morning the angels were escorted out of the estate

    during the day they found an old farmer living with his wife
    they were poor people
    the elder angel asked "May we stay the night?"
    the farmer said "Of course"
    the farmer and his wife gave their beds to the angels
    and slept outside in the rain
    during the night the elder angel wandered
    and the young one followed
    the elder angel took the life of the couples only cattle
    the young one asled "Why did you do this?"
    the elder replied "It's not what it seems"
    in the mourning the farmer bade them goodbye

    during the walk the younger angel asked
    "Why did you help one who has everything in this worldwhile you let those poor farmers lose the only bit of cattle they had? One man had everything the farmers had none. Why did you do this?"
    the elder angel replied "Its not what it seems"
    "then tell me what exactly is it"
    the elder angel said
    "In the crack in the wall of the rich mans' house was filled with gold and jewels that had been stolen, I sealed it up so he would not retrieve them. The farmers may have had nothing, but they valued their lives. The angel of death came for the farmers wife so i gave him the cow instead. Now they live together still"
    the younger one said
    "I apologize for my rudeness to you... I did not know"
    "I know you did not, and a lesson learned: Everything is not what it seems"
