Chapter Four;
When I awoke the next morning I felt a thick fog over my head. I couldn’t really remember what had happened the night before but I knew it wasn’t good.
I sat up and placed my hand over my eyes as I looked around my bright room. The smell that was all over my body smelled rancid. I shook off the thought of throwing up again as I made my way to the bathroom.
I walked down the stairs with the towel in my hand while drying my hair. I looked around the big empty house and took a deep breath. I looked at the table near the door and saw a white envelope. I walked up to it and placed my towel on the table next to. I opened it and started to read it.
When I was done I dropped it and ran up the stairs I had no idea that it was that late.
I walked out onto the beach and looked around. This time of year the beach was almost empty of couples, families, and tourists. I smiled as I watched the wave’s crash against the beach without a thought. I watched as the birds flew over head and landed in the ocean only to float and find food. While I watched all these natural occurrences I saw one that didn’t look natural. Kire was sitting with his head on his knees.
I watched as his now black hair blow in the wind. His body looked so relaxed, more the usual. I smiled at myself and went to turn away to leave him alone. But then again I could do anything to make him miserable, like he did so many times to me before.
I walked up to him ready to burst any bubble that he had to be alone. But when I looked down I saw the true sadness on his face. I sat down next to him quietly and looked out in the ocean.
I didn’t say anything for the longest time, but I had to say something when the first hour had past. “What’s wrong?” I whispered as I turned my face to look at him.
I was already looking at me. It really kind of freaked me out.
“Why are you here?” He asked in a cold winter voice.
“I just thought you needed some one to sit by you, you looked really lonely.” I answered.
“When did you suddenly start to care?” He asked again.
I stopped myself from answering this question right away. ‘Why do I care?’ I asked myself over and over. When I couldn’t think of an answer I got up. “I’ll leave then.” I said turning to leave.
Kire grabbed my hand. “I’m sorry,” He whispered. “For everything I put you through. I was just a kid who knew he could get anything that he wanted. Well that’s how it was at first. You seemed so unattainable.” He stopped and looked back at the ocean. “My mother left my dad last night, I’ve been here since.”
I dropped back down on my knees and looked at my clenched hands on my lap. I knew what that felt like, my father left my mother when I turned fifteen. I grabbed his hand. “I am so sorry I didn’t know.” I said full heartedly.
He looked up at me and smiled. “Thanks.” He looked at our hands and then looked away. “But, I don’t need your fake sympathy.” He said letting go of my hand.
I watched as his face turned colder before my eyes. “I-It’s not.” I stuttered. “I really do care. I don’t know why but I do.” I said wrapping my arms around him. “Let’s start over.” I whispered. “As friends, lets star over without all that junk that we had before.” I proclaimed. “Please.” I whispered.
He looked up at me, and then wrapped his own arms around me. “I would like that.” He said with a soft child like voice. “A lot really,”
I smiled and moved back to my spot and sat contented next to him.
“ Please, give back teddy!” I heard a little girls voice yell broken up by sobs.
“Oh your such a baby! Does the little baby ant her stupid teddy back?” A boy yelled. The girl started to wail.
I stood up ad dusted myself off, I started to walk over to the group of kids. ‘Deeds number two for me. Does that mean I get points?’ I whispered to myself. “Hey,” I said as I stood about a foot away from them. “What’s going on here?” Great I sounded like a mother.
The little boy looked up at me while the others got away. “Nothing its none of your business lady.” He said in a rude tone.
I glared at him and held out my hand. “Give me the bear.” I hissed trying not to flip out at the little kid. “Now,”
The boy looked up at me and frowned. He placed the bear in my hand and shoved his hands in his pockets. “It’s a stupid bear anyway.” He yelled as he started to walk away.
I shook my head in disgust and looked down at the little red headed child. She had patch over one of her eyes. “Are you alright?” I whispered as I got down on my knees and handed the bear to the child.
“Thank you big sister,” She said as she started to cry again, I was guessing out of happiness.
“It’s touch being a little bit different isn’t it?” I asked.
She looked up at me and smiled. “Not for a Princess like you,” She looked over my shoulder and smiled. “I bet you have a prince charming and everything.”
“I guess so,” I said as I smiled. “My name is Rayne, what’s yours?” I asked.
The little girl smiled again, her little cheeks turning a light pink. “Bella,”
My eyes widened. “What a pretty name, so fit for a mini princess.” I said placing my hand on her head once again.
She looked up and smiled. “Big sister, Prince Charming,” She said pointing above my head.
I looked up and saw Kire looking down at me.
“Bella,” I heard an older women yell.
Bella looked up. “Mama,” She said starting to run to her. Then she stopped and turned towards Kire and I. “Prince Charming, you’d better treat Princess right.” She turned back as she waved to her mother.
I stood up and looked back at Kire. “Let’s go.” I said walking away.

- This is kinda sweet, though some of the grammar could be tidied up slightly.
