• "Yeah, like it's going to be that scary!" I said to my friends laughing at how terrified they looked at just reading the sign. "Right, it's perfect for you to say. You're never scared about anything!" Jessica said with a small pout. I smiled again, proudly this time. "Well, let's get this thing over with." Laura answered and took the first step into the huge line waiting for us. Everyone was going in groups so it wasn't that bad. It was about fifteen minutes later that we reached the front, both of my girlfriends in shock at how the costumes looked. "Don't worry," I told them, patting both their shoulders,"it will be fine." They both took a deep breath and hid behind me as I walked into the woods. The first part wasn't very scary. Voice recordings saying to leave, pretty normal. The old haunted gas station we walked past, a man came out, couldn't see his face, pointed us to the right way, grunting. We walked past similar things, then we got to a house. A crazy scientist came out, looking well past insane. "Would you like to join my creations?" he asked. He grabbed Laura, who held a firm grip on my arm. "It's okay, come with me now." He told her. I shrugged and nodded. He took her behind the bars we looked at and sat her in a chair. She was trembling with fear. He pushed a button, I hadn't seen until now. A blinding light, and she was gone. "Where did you put her?!" I screamed at him, but he was gone too. I turned around to face Laura, who wasn't there. "Freaky." I said to myself, and jogged out of the house. I all of a sudden heard a huge voice from above me "Whose Jenny?" I turned around, looking for the voice. I called out, "I am!" I heard something behind me. A man with a chain saw, white face, blood running down his front. "Then I'm going to kill you like I did your friends!" He started up the chain saw. I started running, laughing with excitement. Finally something I'm scared of! But I wasn't done yet. The farther I ran, the louder I heard growling, barking almost. I saw more chain saw guys start to run after me through the woods, I payed no attention to them. I ran faster, but so did they. I kept to the trail, hoping I could make a loop and run for it if I had to. I swear I saw a car somewhere back... But the growling grew louder. I saw a light up ahead, which made me run even faster, hoping for a way out of this mess. But, all I saw was barred teeth, trapped inside of a cage. A dog. A dog, they had trapped an animal to scare people. I was starting to get tired, but I heard them get closer. I was nearly footsteps away from the animal. Then, I was there. It wasn't only a dog, but a wolf! A true wolf, looking hungrily at the meat dangling five feet away from his nose. The beast looked up at me, not in fright or hunger, but interest. I looked back at him. He all of a sudden turned his head towards the path I had ran down, then at the lock. i ran to the lock, not thinking at first. he was at the door in two seconds. I heard them get closer as well. I never knew they were that far behind! It only made me move faster. The door was rusted, so as I tried to pull at it, I yelled at the wolf, "Try to bust it down! I can't get it open!" I pulled even harder and realized I was talking to an animal that wouldn't even understand me. But he did. He smashed it down in about two seconds, and he growled at me, I could hear the words inside the bark. "Get on." I obeyed, not even glimsping behind me, but he was off into the woods as I held on for my life.
