It doesn’t stop...
The pain...what is it? Why doesn’t it leave?
Why can’t it leave? It’s always there...that’s why...
tab Standing on the shore, looking out at the bright blue ocean the waves crashed softly on my feet. I raised my right hand to block the bright burning ball in the sky from blinding me, my left hand held my sneakers, my jeans rolled up so they wouldn’t get wet. I turned around, walked back into the burning dry sand I set my sneakers down and pulled my jeans up higher.
tab The ocean was so nice; I wanted to live down here, so I was within walking distance and not driving. I walked farther into the ocean this time, getting my jeans wet without a care. I raised my hand to block the sun away; I thought I saw something in the distance. I looked harder, making my eyes focus, I was right. There was a pack of dolphins out there!
tab I wanted to be free like them; I had to hold myself back from jumping into the ocean to join them now. I wasn’t ready to join them yet. It wasn’t my time to go; I still had much to do in this world. A smile touched my face, why was I smiling? Just the moment made me smile I guess... My smile soon faded, I better head back home before it gets too late.
tab I turned around, just standing there looking up at the houses. Oh how I wanted to live in one of them! But, what I didn’t know was that it was soon high tide and since I was in up to about my knees, a larger wave came up and crashed right on my back, sending me crashing onto the shore. I stumbled up, only to be knocked down again by another wave.
tab Getting up one more time I stumbled, dripping wet up by my shoes. I dropped to my knees, coughing up sea water that managed to get into my mouth. “Hey! Are you alright?” Someone called out. I reached my right hand up, giving them a thumb up. I really need to stop getting lost in my thoughts. At least I remember to keep a towel in the car so I don’t have to drive home wet and get my seat soaked.
tab I slowly stood up, ringing out my hair and shirt, unrolling my pants. Maybe I’ll walk around a little to air dry some. I picked up my shoes, making my way over to the small boardwalk—really, just the sidewalk that people called the boardwalk. I rinsed off my feet at the crappy rinse off station, poorly ringing out my pants. With my sneakers in my hand, I began to walk down the boardwalk.
tab I soon hit the little stores that line the boardwalk, which is why most people called it that. Soon my pants were just damp, and I put my shoes back. Turning back I headed toward my car, wondering what else to do with the day. The drive home seems to go back in 5 minutes, rather then its normal 30 minutes. I parked the car and got out, walking into my house I turned on the lights.
But that was 7 years ago...

- Description: I wrote this after reading so many other entries by Gaians on here. Its not really my best but I guess it will have to do. The stuff in italics at the beginning, is sort of what was going to happen later, if I choose to continue it. xD At the bottom the writing in italics is sort of like she's looking back at the moment and reliving how great it was. The reference picture is what I see the character to look like, I even gave her a name; Malin Cameron. I know, I suck at this sort of thing.. ^^;;
