The world has seemed to stood still for sometime for the young man hiding in the shadows. Average height, long hair, skinny, and with piercing black eyes waited silently for his target to come by. Tonight was the night he was going to step up from being a normal human. He was heading towards the path of becoming a god. With his very own hands he can decide the fate of a human being. He can decide who lives and who dies with the mere push of a finger or a single slice from a blade. The real question though was could he do it? If he could though what will happen? Will he be able to deal with the fact that he took a human life? Will he feel any remorse? As these questions came flooding into his mind he heard the sound of a car driving by he instantly loaded the M24 and steady his aim. When the car door opened his heart pounded as the moment of truth was coming. The strange thing though was he felt no hesitation, he wasn't having any second thoughts, he wasn't even afraid, he was just impatient. Unfortunately though he lost sight of his target as he snapped out of thought. Frantically he looked around the area and to his horror the target was already at his door. He knew it was now or never. He pulled the trigger and moments later he heard the thump from the dead body. With that he sighed in relief and congratulated himself on a mission well done. As he was ready to move out of the scene he heard a scream from a women and he instantly looked back. It seemed as if the women found the body of her husband and was in shock. To make matters a little girl came out also and looked at the body.
"Yay daddy's back!" The little girl shouted out as she went towards the body with obviously no knowledge of the grim event that occurred. The assassin's couldn't help but to feel some pity and remorse for what happened. As he turned around he could only utter one thing "Mission failed."
