- A clanging sound. The sound of metal meeting metal. A sword had met a squall. A squall is a staff with two blades, one sticking out of each end. The holder of the sword pushed his blade against the Squall. His was an Eerie blade, jagged, and with a bluish glow emanating from the blade. The holder of the Squall's blade was even scarier. It was a Darkish gold color, shaped like an open crab claw on each blade, with a leather claw sewn into a cavity of each of the blades. "You humans are insufferable," Said the woman holding the Squall. She had pointy ears, a blue frilled yellow shirt, and orange skirt, black shoes, and a grin that said she was about to win. Oh, and she had very long, very tame, Red hair. Her arm had begun to tremble. She stepped back really fast, and pushed the bottom blade up with her southpaw(Left hand). He stumbled forward when she jumped back, right into a gash to his gut. She sneered, as if risking murder and a death sentence were a reward. However, in a fit of rage, Delago drew his second sword, a painted-red, mahogany handled sword with a longer, straighter blade then the bluish one. it's blade looked golden, and then there was a flash of blue and gold. Then, like that, his sister was on the floor, sobbing. I mean, sister-in-law. She held the mark on her face, a bloody m, that looked as if it was written on her face in script. " "DELAGO DE MONTOYA!" His mother-in-law was out of the house, Glowering at Delago, His father-by-blood had arrived next to her, with an expression of shock at what he was seeing. His Mother, a blonde-headed, point-eared woman wearing a very light yellow dress. His father, in every way a taller version of Delago, with more facial hair, but wearing armor. He was a knight, or more appropriately, in the town guard. His mother was a priestess of Pelor, the Sun God, and Pelorians hate undead. That is, reanimated corpses. His mother now looked appalled, glaring at him. "Striking a woman? Not to mention an elf, I mean, your sister-in-law?" She seemed to flare up, turning red, then purple, While Yasmine De Jaego,(His mother and Sister-in-law kept their old surnames from her elf father) still lay on her feet, now fake crying, hiding most of her face, only letting Delago see her face, now smiling intently at him. Elves hate humans, can live up to 700 years approximately, and are great with swords. Well, that's your stereotypical elf. Delago is human, just to mention. "Mother, you don't understand, his boyfriend--" Delago's specialty is not talking. "Call your sister a he right now!!!"...Nor is it his mom's. "HER boyfriend was--" Delago turned a quick sneer. "He insulted your side of the family and stomped on my drawings of you," Delago though for a second he had said something smart. Anita de Jaego said with a look of disgust "DRAWINGS OF ME FOR WHAT?" Delago looked like he was just slapped with a sausage..."And where, praytell are these drawings?" Delago must've looked aghast, but then Yasmine cut in. Still fake sobbing, she said "See, Forte, my new boyfriend had come by, and I was talking, and Delago heard him say you were prettier than me, so..." Yasmine fake sobs again."So Delago just..." "I've heard enough! Delago In three years, you have not learned the teachings of Pelor, You still treat elves as if we're equal to humans, and you attack your sister, not to mention a girl!"Anita spouted. "No, Forte insulted me and ran away before I could hurt him--" Gender confused? Anita screamed, apparently her only talent. "GET OUT." Felix, his dad finally spoke up. "Wait, honey. Delago! It is wrong to strike women!" "But he was" Logic error, Strike three! Anita STILL had diarrhea of the mouth. ""DON'T cut ME off. Delago." She spake calmly for a second. "Yaes?" Excuse him. he sometimes gets an accent. "I saw you toying with a dead rat. long dead." "So?" Felix said, raising his arms to shrug. "He borders on toying with undead. you saw him hold it up and make it dance.""WHAT?" Felix broke out. "HARDLY! And at worst he is curious, we just need to teach him why the undead are abominations." Anita had a bulging vein on her right temple. then, she took a deep breath and spoke. "Fine, he can stay," Delago almost smiled. "But us Pelorians will keep a close eye on him from now on." And just like that, the conflict ends. hopefully. His wound healed, and he now has a huge scar across his gut, his sister-in-law across her face. The next few months are wierd between them, with her being unusuallly quiet where she was usually scheming. 4 months later, A letter from the Pelorian consulate arrived. Everyone was invited to dinner! Except... Delago was specifically forbidden. His mother had a huge smile, but Yasmine looked worried, as if she knew something he didn't. He asked her if anything was up. "Everything is fine...." she said with a forced smile. She then walked quickly into her room. 45 minutes after they left, armored clerics with maces in holsters, and one rogue with a shortsword threw Delago out. because he wounded one, he was exiled from TavernTown, forever. His life with his family had ended. And that is when his life truly began.
