Yes she is a actual trainer! She is from the LeafGreen and FireRed games for the game boy advance. She was suppose to be in the Generation I games but they[the producers] decided not to put her in there.
her outfit is not pink, its red the picture just shows it as pink.

Good job.
On a side note, Satoshi Taijiri and Ken Sugimori wanted to put her in the first version but they couldn't put her in due to the limited amount of programing space in the GBC versions of the game. - Report As Spam
