• Chapter One

The wooden door swung open. The loud bang echoing threw the empty house. Ryuu staggered threw the door, into the house, breathing heavily. His long blondish hair, which was usually tied back, was hanging over his face and sticking to his face from the sweat. His green and red kimono clothes were ripped up, and blood dripped from the gashes in his clothes. The blood made small clicking sounds as it dripped down onto the floor, leaving a small puddle of blood below him. His blood red eyes pierced tiredly threw the house, and his blackish grey cat ears perked as he listened for any noise in the house. No sounds came; the only sound that rang out was his still heavy breathing and the groaning of the complaining floor boards below him, under his weight as he walked around. “Orkia, ChinChin, Sakura, Kasumi! Where are you guys!?” Ryuu waited for an answer, but no answer came. He let out a long, tired sigh. “They must be out.” He muttered to himself as he pulled himself to the closest couch and flopped down onto it. He grabbed onto the fresh medicine that was already set out for him on the small table, made of bamboo. He grabbed the stick next to the bowl of medicine. He stuck the stick into the bowl, and then smoothed the medicine onto his wounds, flinching at the sting it brought. After he was done spreading the gooey green medicine onto his wounds, he grabbed onto the white cloth next to the medicine and wrapped it around all his wounds. Looking over onto the couch, he saw a neat folded new pair of clothes on the cushion next to him. He ripped off his damaged clothes and put on the new, fresh clothes. Even though he moved very little doing all of this, it used the last of his energy, and after he sat back into the soft, cushiony couch, he could feel his eyes slowly close, and the warm feeling that came as he fell asleep….

    ~Couple Hours Later~

Ryuu woke up to a sharp stab that ran threw his bushy blackish grey tail, and he let out a small scream of pain. He looked over to see Keelala, a dark orange and red cat, with light blue eyes and flames for a tail. Flames were wrapped around her ankles also. She was biting down hard onto his tail with her sharp needle teeth. He grabbed at Keelala’s neck and ripped her off his tail. He pulled her up to his face and glared at her, letting out a small growl of anger as he rubbed his tail trying to sooth the pain. “Where did you come from?” Keelala let out a small meow in return. Then, out of the corner of his eye, he saw Orkia walk around the corner into the room. “What are you doing to Keelala?!” She yelled out. Even though he had already seen her come into the room, her yelling still surprised him as though he never had known she was there, and his grip loosened on Keelala, letting Keelala squirm and slip out of his grasp. Keelala ran over to Orkia and jumped up onto her shoulder, staring at Ryuu like a frightened child. Orkia crossed her arms and her eyes, which were light blue just like Keelala’s, squinted at him angrily through her short dark reddish orange hair that only went to her chin. Ryuu could feel the warmth all the way across the room from the flames that covered her cat ears. Even though Orkia was a neko, she did not have a tail, like most nekos’ did. She was a rare neko, a neko with no tail, but Ryuu knew if she did have a tail, it would also be covered in flames, and it would add to the already warm air from her flaming cat ears, making it probably unbearably hot. “Why do you always pick on Keelala?!” She yelled at him, shifting her wait onto her left foot. Her green plaid skirt twirled a little as she did. Her black long socks, that went to her knees, were now partially off as she tugged at them. She was also wearing a tan vest that was closed up, and a long sleeved white shirt underneath it. Ryuu never understood why the uniforms for schools sometimes really didn’t make sense. It looked good, but it was no good for in the winter or any other cold season, because she would freeze because of the small skirt, that looked like if it was any smaller, would show her panties completely, but in any hot season, she would roast in that vest and long sleeved shirt, and she couldn’t move much, because since the skirt was so small, any wrong movement would show her panties to anyone that could see. Either way, Ryuu thought the school uniforms really sucked. “I’m not picking on Keelala! If she didn’t always attack me, I wouldn’t even bother her. Maybe if you kept her in a freaking cage-“ But before he could even finish, Orkia interrupted. “I’m not keeping her in a cage! That is horrible! She is a living creature! I’m not going to just lock her up!” The heat from her flaming cat ears seamed to get hotter the madder she got. Ryuu decided to stop the arguing now before she got so hot that she burned the house down….again….. “Fine, whatever..” He said as he let out a small yawn and stood up. “Just at least keep her away from me.” He said, looking up at the ceiling. “Fine..” She said, with still a small hint of anger in her voice, and she ran off into the other room with Keelala. Sakura walked in past her. She was looking back as Orkia stormed out, and then looked at Ryuu. “What’s wrong with her?” She asked in her usual shy whisper, as she tilted her head, and her dark brown kitty ears twitched with confusion. Her light brown hair rippled all the way down her body to her butt, and her dark brown tail poked out of her equally short school uniform skirt. Only her skirt was a light gray, and she wore a dark blue school top with a red bow in the middle of her chest. Her dark blue socks that went up to her knees were still on. Her light brown eyes looked at him innocently. “Eh, nothing, don’t worry about it. So, where were you guys earlier?” He asked with curiosity. She smiled a little; her smile was small and gentle, calming. “Well, we decided to go out for fresh air and pick some nice berries, which maybe Kasumi and I can make some treats for you with them.” Ryuu couldn’t help but smile a little, they were really kind girls. All of them. even Orkia, even though she could be a pain in the a** sometimes. They did a lot of kind things for him. But he hoped the reason they were so kind to him, wasn’t just because they thought they owed him. They were all sisters; he was the only one that wasn’t related to the four of them. He had found them. Their dad had left way before they were born. One day, the village they were born in was being attacked by men who were after the element nekos. They got a hint that the element nekos were there. Their mother hid them away. Un-fortunately, the attackers got to their mom before she too could hide. The men never found the girls though, luckily, other-wise the world would be in total chaos at this moment. He went threw the village as a mission to find any survivors and they were the only survivors. Even though they were the only survivors out of hundreds of people that lived in that village, it was still very good news. Their whole village was nekos. Every person there was a neko, but they were all normal nekos. The girls and he were a special kind of neko. They were element nekos. Element nekos only were born every 2 thousand years. Element nekos are very powerful when they reach there full power and many people are always after the element nekos. They know if they get them, they can use their powers to get anything they want, especially if they get all five element nekos. The world would be in grave danger. Everyday, he goes out on missions to kill or scare off the people that are after him and the girls. He protects them, and they know that he gets injured a lot, so they prepare everything he needs for when he returns. For that, he is grateful, it is a lot easier then walking around injured trying to make up your own medicine when you don’t know how to. It was a lot better to be able to put some fresh medicine on as soon as he returned home. “I see. Ok then.” He rubbed the back of his head a little as he walked to the front door were he had entered before. ChinChin was scrubbing at the puddle of now dry blood that he had forgotten about. She wore a Pitch black hoodie, as black as her cat ears and tail. She wore skin tight light blue shorts that went down to her knees. Her hoodie had snow white fluff on the hood and sleeves. Her hoodie was usually up over her head, but now it was down, showing her dirty blonde hair that shifted back and forth a little as she rubbed hard at the dry blood. Her black cat ears perked as she heard his foot steps enter the room. She looked up at him with her brownish red eyes and they sparkled with excitement. Before he could even blink, she had tackled him to the ground. He grunted as he hit the ground hard. She hugged him tightly and rubbed her cheek against his. “Ryuu-kun! Hello! How was the mission last night? Are you ok?” She asked, with a worried hint in her voice with that last question. He chuckled a little. She was so cute sometimes. He knew she had a small crush on him, just by the way she acted, and how sometimes when he was really kind to her, she would slightly blush. She was the youngest out of the sisters, and way younger then him. He had just turned twenty. Orkia was the oldest, and she was seventeen. Kasumi was seventeen also, but Orkia beat her by a couple months. Sakura was sixteen, and ChinChin had just turned fourteen, but she looked way younger then she was. “Yes, yes, I’m fine.” He said, smiling and scratching softly behind one of her cat ears. She let out a small purr and her face turned a light pink. He lifted her up and over to the side, off of him, and slowly stood back up. She smiled happily, her tail swaying back and forth, and then continued to scrub at the dry blood on the floor. Ryuu walked into the kitchen, where Kasumi stood working over a bowl of light blue and red berries. She was separating them all, keeping the reds in one bowl, and the blues in another. Her grayish blue neko ears laid back a little as she worked, and her grayish blue tail wrapped around one of her legs. Her light, water blue hair was in pigtails, like usual, and her eyes, also the same color blue as her hair, looked at the bowls of berries tiredly. Her silky white gloves, that she usually wore, were sitting on the counter next to her. She had a light water blue choker necklace on, and the same color dress that went down to the back of her knees. She let out a small yawn and didn’t realize Ryuu was there until he was already behind her. She jumped, surprised, and looked back at him. “R-ryuu….Hello….How…was the mission?” She slowly said because of how tired she was. Ryuu looked straight at her and smiled. “It was fine…You seem very tired Kasumi. You should go get some rest. I will take care of the rest of the berries.” Kasumi looked at him, she was about to object, but realized it would be a good idea to get some rest. She slightly nodded her head, her light water blue hair, and the red ribbons that wrapped around her hair, bobbing a little. She slowly walked off out of the room, letting out another yawn. Ryuu shoved a couple of blue berries into his mouth, the sweet juiciness of the berries exploding in his mouth every time he bit down on one. Then continued where Kasumi left off. Separating each berry into the right bowl, red and blue. When he was done, he gently set the giant bowls full of berries, into the fridge. Waiting for anyone to use to make sweets and other delicious foods. He walked off to the entrance, where ChinChin was. The dry blood puddle was now gone, and so was ChinChin. He gently moved the soft, silky blood red curtains to the side of the front window by the entrance door. Threw the clear glass, he could see Sakura and ChinChin. Sakura stood by a wall of light pink cherry blossoms. She gently touched each one, seeming to be absorbed in there beauty. ChinChin, in her full cat form, sat on a thin branch in a tree. Her snow white paws tightly gripped onto the branch, as one gently rubbed at her whiskers. Her pitch black body sat quit still, and her tail hung off the branch. Her face was completely pitch black, except for around her nose and mouth, which was as snow white as her paws. That was the problem with element nekos; they couldn’t change color like other regular nekos could. They were the same color. So, if ChinChin turned into a lion, she would be a black and white lion. But anyways, that was a power all nekos’ had. They could turn into any animal from the cat family. ChinChin just seamed to be a regular house cat right now. Her clothes lay under the shade of the tree. See, that was the bad thing about turning into an animal from the cat family. You would have to take off your clothes, and when you turned back to normal, you were completely naked. So, you had to keep an eye on your clothes when you turned, or you would have to stay in that animal form for a while till you could find more clothes. That is, unless you don’t mind running around in public, naked. He closed the curtains and let out a small sigh. He walked to the couch where he had slept, and sat back down into it. There was still a little warmth on the couch from when he had sat there, but not very much. Ryuu bordly scratched his fingers against the arm of the couch, and stared up at the ceiling, trying to think of a way to entertain himself till the mission tonight. He had heard there was a man looking for them, but not a normal man. His sources wouldn’t tell him much more about that. They said he was on his way threw town, and should be there by tonight. Ryuu’s thoughts were then wrenched from him as he heard a high scream of distress. It was Sakura! He launched off of the couch and bolted to the front door. As he whipped it open, everything fell silent. The screaming stopped as soon as he reached the door. His glance caught something below him, and as he looked down, he could see a pile of cherry blossoms, with a small note on top of it. He bent down and picked it up. As he opened it, there was only one small word to be read. “Boo.” Boo? What was that suppose to mean?

    Chapter Two

He looked around, ChinChin, and Sakura, were now gone. The only sign that was left behind from them were ChinChin’s clothes. Nekos may not be able to do it as well as dogs, but they can still sniff out scents. Maybe Orkia, Kasumi, and he could find ChinChin and Sakura. He gently picked up the clothes, keeping them neat and folded into his arms, trying not to rub his scent onto it and erasing ChinChin’s scent. He kicked the front door open and yelled out. “Orkia, Kasumi!” It was silent for a second, but then they both came skidding into the room. They both had a surprised, confused, “What’s happening?” look on their faces. Kasumi was in her pj’s now. A long silky pink button up shirt that had small imprints of snow white sheep on them, and the same silky pair of paints that matched. Her hair was pulled back into two pigtails. Orkia was still in her clothes. “Kasumi, you won’t have time to change, we all need to sniff ChinChin’s clothes to get her scent, and then leave right away. ChinChin and Sakura have been kidnapped.” He said, in a serious tone as he took a long whiff of ChinChin’s clothes. He then handed it off to Orkia and Kasumi to sniff. But it took them a while to shake there shock and worries away and take it. They both took turns sniffing at the clothes. Ryuu fell down to all fours and transformed into a grayish panther. His panther eyes having small slits and the color around them still dark blood red. He growled at the girls, ordering them to also change into a suitable form, his panther tail swaying side to side, and his claws digging into the wooden floor, making small cracking and screeching noises. His blood was pulsing threw his body. He was starting to get ready for the fight that he knew would come. Orkia turned into a regular, long, slinky house cat. Her whole body was flame red and orange. The tips of her tail and ears wrapped with flames. She almost looked like Keelala, only having small differences. Kasumi turned into lion. Her whole body a dark water blue color except for some spots that faded off into a lighter blue. The colors on her actually looked like she was made of water. All three of them ran out the door, sniffing the ground and air, following the small scent trail that they caught onto, leaving their clothes behind them in the house.

    ~ChinChin~
ChinChin’s heart was pounding so hard in her chest she thought it would pound right out of her chest at any second. Her breathing was heavy, and she couldn’t see a thing. She knew that some sort of cloth was wrapped around her eyes, because she could feel the soft silk against her skin. “S-sakura!” She yelled out, choking a little on the tears of fear that were welling up in her eyes, but no answer was returned. She could feel the roughness of the rope that was tied around her wrists and ankles. She could feel the cold cement that pressed against her bare body, and knew she was still naked. Her clothes were still at the house. She could feel her face grow warm, and knew she was blushing uncontrollably. Whoever it was that kidnapped Sakura and her, had….She shivered, scared, not wanting to think about what they saw and did to her while she was passed out; while she was venerable and naked. All she could remember was a man appearing in front of her….and that was it. That was all she could remember! She couldn’t even remember what he looked like. ChinChin rolled over onto her side and pushed herself onto her knees with her elbows. She slowly trudged around on her knees, feeling around the room that she could not see; feeling for Sakura. The only thing she could feel though was the endless coldness of the cement. The room seemed to be completely empty, besides her. Her tears grew larger, and she started to cry louder. Her weeps echoing threw the empty room.
