A Cloud's Confessional
My deepest, darkest secrets go in here...if you're lucky. :P
New schedules, new dog fights.
Feh, today was the first day of school, again. It wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be, boring, but that was about it. I think this semester will be a good semester. The only class I think I'mma have trouble with is Calculus, which is to be expected, it's considered a college class here, and most juniors don't take college classes.

But I have an awesome teacher for calculus, same teacher I had last semester for trig/pre-calc, which is wicked. I loved him. I get his wife for webpage design. It looks like it'll a pretty easy class, though it disappointed me when she said we would only learn HTML if we had time, and she emphasized the 'might' when she said we might have time. As if she doubted we would. Which makes me sad, 'cause that's really why I wanted to take webpage design. Oh well.

I get a wicked teacher for eleventh grade lit. this year, same teacher I had for tenth grade lit/comp. last year. She was awesome, everyone that knows her loves her. Plus there are a bunch of people I know in that class, so woot. ^-^

Then I get my good ol' choir teacher, the same teacher I've had... five times before. biggrin He's cool. My brother hates him, but that's because he gets in trouble all the time for talking.

So we pretty much had the introductory "first day of school" kind of day, what a surprise for the first day back at school! O:

When I got home--Christina drove me home, like always--I found my dog, Socks, had broken her tether. Which is like, impossible. That tether is practically a bike chain without being coily. And you could even see the metal wires all frayed where she broke it. My face when I saw it was literally "8O". It was insane.

So I was going to take her in and put her in the kennel, because every time ANY dog goes into my room, they destroy it, whether or not I'm watching them. But she gave me this cute little puppy dog look, practically saying that she didn't want to be cooped up in that tiny little cage, so my heart gave in and I just left her outside to play with Zoe, my other dog. She was so much happier there, too, she was all running around with Zoe and they were playing with each other and such.

Then, apparently, my brother gets home, but he doesn't come in. Next thing I know, I hear lots of barking and growling, so I thought Nikki, my anti-social 'I hate all other dogs that are fixed or are male' dog, had gotten in a fight with Socks or Zoe or something, because he's like that. But when I went outside, I saw the neighbor's dog, Tabby, fighting with--guess who?--Socks.

Totally what I get for leaving her outside.

They were totally going at it, teeth bared, foaming at the mouth (and no, they do NOT have rabies), snapping at each other's necks and such. All Tabby's owner was doing was shouting "TABBY GET THE ******** OVER HERE!!" and standing at the end of my driveway. Meanwhile, I was outside shouting at him to get his stupid dog and trying to split up the fight. Tabby bit the hell out of my arm, but didn't draw blood (thank God for thick shirts), and I kicked her out of the way and grabbed Socks. Tabby kept coming back at us while Nikki (who HAD been inside before the fight started and came out when I did) was snarling and snapping at her. I would have been amazed that he was actually protecting us--well, more amazed that he was protecting Socks, because he hates other dogs--but I was too pissed off at Tabby and Clayton, her owner. Socks was still fighting to get to Tabby, but when I got her inside, she was all playful and smiles, despite the foam from her own mouth and on her neck and legs where Tabby bit at her. So I cleaned her up while mentally kicking myself for not just kennel-ing her and avoiding this whole mess.

So yeah, my day went bad right about there. But meh, Socks didn't get hurt, and I'm not fatally wounded, just a few scratches, so it's all good. Clayton better keep Tabby on a leash though, and Robert, my mother's recent ex- and Socks' technical owner, better get a new one for Socks. My brother Jason says that Socks started it, but I don't care-- Tabby didn't do anything to stop it, she was still coming at us when *I* stopped it.

Jeeze, I kinda ranted today, but oh well. I'm still sick. D: I hate medicine, and my mother keeps trying to get me to practically pill-pop to make it go away. I have to take three pills now. D:

And I have to say, I'm really disappointed in the Blue October album, Foiled. I'm totally glad I didn't buy it. I downloaded it, and there are only like three songs on it that I like. sad So uncool.

Anyway, that's it for today. <3
