Illiterate vs. Literate
Ok, now, this one has been bugging me for so damn long.

Getting of real-life problems, but staying on a stress note, this is for all literates to advanced literates out there. I'm not to much into the labeling, but for those who actually understand what those who do use it mean by it.

Ok, first of all, what is it with all the literates trying to get roleplayers for one-on-ones? Why is it they never seem to disappear? Why? I'll tell you why, because we get disappointed so much by illiterates that we have to come back to keep looking.

What do I mean by this? Let me explain!

We ask for people who can write so much, or so well in grammer, and we get people who PM us saying, "Oh, I'm literate, blah blah blah, blah blah blah."

They get us all excited, then, they ask us to start the roleplay, so we do. Maybe, five or more paragraphs for a start. As literates, we know the importance of a starting post. We give our characters to a point we hope they can be imagines, and we give the setting, and whatever it is that's going on or led up to what is happening.

Then, we either get a reply of two or less SHORT paragraphs or sentences as a reply starter with NOTHING to work off of.

Or, even worse, they reply with, "Oh, I can't do that."

And they always say this one thing, this one thing that TICKS ME OFF!

"I don't want to write a novel for every post."

What the ********!?

You don't even know what a short essay is dumbshits. I mean, come on! I actually write novels! A novel for me is over 200 pages, maybe more then 300, of well written work!

Five paragraphs is maybe an essay, and essays only tell so much. More then that might be concidered a short story, but my god! Stop with the damn, "I don't want to write a novel on every post."

Now, I'm not saying semi-lits and illiterates are the only one with problems, OH NO!

See, I've noticed this, atleast they will tell you when they want to quit and roleplay. Literates are so stuck up they just block the other person, even if they are both literates.

And what is with literates who quit roleplays after 2-3 replies? Saying stuff like "Oh, I don't like your character." Or "I don't like how you write."

WELL ******** YOU!
YOU aren't SUPPOSED to like our characters! You're supposed to be god-damn literate enough to try and work with them because it is a roleplay!
All because our char might love yours or something, doesn't mean we love your char. We can despise your character, but we're literate and well enough of a roleplayer to say, "Ok, no problem."

AND WHAT THE HELL IS WITH THE WRITING!?

NO ONE, I repeat, NO ONE WRITES THE ******** SAME!

We don't all have the same type of text!

Some write in a very boring simply style, others in great detail. Some people have a unique style to there writing and their words are more made to flow then anything else! And yet, so called 'literates' quit roleplays because of someones text style.

I mean, yes, if it's WAY to far above you advanced brain to understand what they are saying, sure, OK, I can understand that. If one of you use large dictionary-deep words, yes, I understand.

But give me a break, not everyone will write like you.

Another thing I hate, no matter WHAT stage of literacy you are at, one of the most annoying things is when someone says, "I'm not going to post, it's kind of boring right now."
So they won't post until it's fun again...

Well, here's a question... HOW THE ******** IS IT SUPPOSED TO BECOME FUN WHEN YOU WONT POST A REPLY TO TRY AND WORK OFF OF!?

Obviously, if it's not fun, it's not only our faults. You aren't trying enough to make it fun. And by not posting, we can't make it fun, and all that will happen in the end is one of us will be blocked.

Oh, and another problem, is when they say WE god-mode, when they either did it first, or were the only one doing it.

Now, I'm light on those rules. As long as its not completly changing the roleplay, or hurting my characters to much, I'm ok with it. I mean, if I really don't want it to happen, yes, I'll post something to counter it.

But when someone says we god-moded so they are going to quit, when they did it first and continued to do it, so we do it back... How does that work?
.
.
.
.
Well, I had something else, but while off ripping that damn nose strip from my nose, I forgot what it was...

So, I guess I'm done with today's rant...

Adding on now because of one of the comments.

Yeah, WHAT THE ********!?

Why would someone not Rp with another person because the Avi of a person is a certain gender!?

A female can have a male avi and a male can have a female avi. It doesn't mean anything other then the fact they didn't want to be what they are.

It doesnt mean that's how they feel in real life or that they're gay or trying to trick people or anything of the sort!

That's like refusing to play a video game because you have to play a certain gender! ******** that!

I got harvest moon games! 13 of them! only like, three of them let you play a girl, wait... 4.. But thats not very much! And those versions are great just like the male! But my fav is still one where I play a male!

People need to grow up...

Or stop making excuses saying it's the avi when they wont really admit what's wrong.

All too true hun...and I know I'm definately guilty of some of these flaws myself. Sorry I wasn't on yesterday and have been getting online less and less, it's definately not that I don't want to talk/RP with you (you know I always love that anyways), just a lot happening around me right now.
