My mom keeps denying that she shows any amount of partiality amongst us, however the evidence up till this day points to the contrary. She has always shown my brother particular favor. A very great amount of favor to be exact. I think it is because he is the only boy in the family. Thus is the way of the Chinese apparently.

She always gives him a larger share of everything we have. He always gets the very best of EVERYTHING while me and my sister have to make do with whatever his spoils are. Though the Chinese are apparently one of the first civilized countries in world history, they sure have a very primitive lifestyle, favoring males like lions.

Now that's not even the most annoying part of this whole ordeal. I have been pointing our this particular prejuduce to her ever since I noticed it, which was like YEARS ago, hoping she will relent and fix herself. HA! I can only wish. She is always too full of herself to admit that she has even the slightest error in anything. She is what I would call a perfectionist from hell. Even though all her ideas and implications are completely WRONG, she refuses to admit it even if the evidence of it is spread right in front of her. And this really makes me mad.

I just wish life could be fair for once. Chinese never admit to accusations of maltreatment, favoritism, or racism. They won't even openly admit to human rights abuse in the international community. What they are is proud. I am proud of my mother land. However, I believe this type of proudnbess is what God meant when he said pride was evil. My mom is too proud to admit that she is wrong. And someday this will be her downfall.

This is because in the future we shall see if those whom she marginalized will help her. One can only take so much and at some point I am going to realize that being nice will only get me NOWHERE with people who are unjust and unfair just like her.
