Bio: Joshua became a doctor after realizing his childhood dream. Having studied since he was young, for he held a great ambition to go into the medical feild. In his younger years, Joshua did more studying than socializing, thus making a similarity to his daughter Kisara.
He would spend his time indoors most of the time, and he hardly ever participated in any sports. His parents, though proud of his work, felt he should venture into the outside world and gain experiences. Joshua was against this, yet overtime he began to merge from his shell.
He was the kind of student who got straight A's (Except for P.E.) and tried to break up fights and quarrels to set things at equal. He watched what he ate and rest assured that he had good hygene. And while he liked to study medicine, he had a slight fear of needles. He began to wonder if he would ever become a doctor like this, however, on his many trips to the hospital for training, he learned to deal with it.
He wasn't the athletic type, but not soon after did he begin to run laps and do more outside activities. He became busy with school as he grew older, and his parents wondered if he would ever marry.

While he remained healthy, he suffered a broken leg he got riding down a steep hill. This cut back on some of his schoolwork, but he made enough up to graduate before school ended.

His wanting to be a doctor was an honest choice. He loved helping people, he wanted to save lives and find cures. The career had good pay too, and he reached to be a surgeon. Unfortunately, he sometimes passed out at the sight of blood, and he knew this was another he'd have to get used to.

Not long after he graduated, Joshua went into medical school to broaden his studies, learning all he could, trying to remembering every step of the way. He knew he was so close, yet so far to his career. He felt himself grow weary as the days went on. He lacked sleep and food, he began to lose weight. Some of his classmates managed to get him a good few days off to catch up on some sleep, he looked almost dead with those circles under his eyes.

Joshua became aggitated and started coughing up blood. He had put so much stress on his shoulders, his body unable to take much more of it. He was rushed to the hospital for medical support. There, he was monitored and rested, demanded that he receive rest despite his stubborness.

Once released, he went back to school. He took better care of himself and assured his classmates he would be alright. Through the years of school, he finally finished, and graduated. Now a certified doctor, he became well-known by his superiors, as well as his patients. Life was just what he expected it to be. He was happy, the hard work had finally paid off.

Months later he met a young woman named Mitsuki, a patient who had recently awoken from a coma. Having not remembered why, Joshua explained that she had been in an accident, thus suffering temporary amnesia. Broken leg and arm, Joshua cared Mitsuki back to health. The two spent much time together as Mitsuki's memories came in tact, and no sooner she would be able to walk again.
Mitsuki told him many stories, how she wanted to become a writer, and how much she loved to sing the most.

I dreamed of becomming a singer..ever since I was little...but because of school, I was not able to fulfill it. My parents wanted me to have a high education, and I was always busy with things. I had no time for myself, or for songs.

Joshua sympathized with this, comforting Mitsuki. "I'd like to hear you sing someday."

Mitsuki, now back on her feet, despite some walking troubles for the early part, often visited Joshua in his free time to talk. The two spent much time together, and in time their feelings eventually grew. Mitsuki harboring a shy demonoir, could not come into terms with revealing her feelings for the man, yet being around him was enough for her.
She was allowed to leave the hospital now, and even so she still frequently visited Joshua, unknown that he held the same feelings for her. Calm and collected, Joshua took Mitsuki to the beach, where he finally proposed. "Will you marry me?" He asked.

Mitsuki whole-heartedly accepted, they were married two months later, Joshua's parents accepting Mitsuki with open arms. The two moved in together and began as happy newlyweds. Mitsuki, now having gained confidence thanks to Joshua, decided to persist in her dream to sing. However, she found that she loved Joshua just as much, thus she decided to study and become a nurse to work alongside him.

A year later, Mitsuki became pregnant after the two decided to have a child. Much work was put into preparing for their new baby while Joshua struggled with the thought of becomming a father.
What were the risks?
Would he be a good influence?
What if something were to happen to it?
Thoughts roamed his mind but he was even more worried about the safety of their child. This put him under stress once more, however Mitsuki was able to ease it for him.
The two struggled with names, unsure of the gender yet, though Mitsuki had always hoped to have a girl while Joshua was neutral. Wanting a name that wasn't commonly used, they decided to name, if a girl, Kisara. If a boy, Aiden.

Months later Mitsuki gave birth to a baby girl, Kisara. The couple were overjoyed, espessially Mitsuki.
After returning home, Joshua worked while his wife cared and watched over Kisara. He did, however, use all the free time he had in spending time with his daughter in order to form a bond. The three lived a happy life with no troubles, except for the fact that Kisara constantly made a mess of things as she reached the stage of crawling.
Joshua had been recording things in a journal to keep his memories in tact. He planned to read them to Mitsuki as well as Kisara in hopes for them to share memories and get to know each other better.

When Kisara turned 3, a tragedy between the family ensued, and Joshua was left to care for Kisara on his own as a single parent. Mitsuki, now gone from his life, though the reason why angered and saddened him. He wrote it within his journal, however, he decided not to reveal this to his daughter until he felt ready. He missed Mitsuki dearly, he wanted revenge, however he knew it was not the answer and blocked his frustration as he watched Kisara grow.

Hideing his saddness, Joshua continued his work. One of his collegues, now aware that Mitsuki was out of his life, attempted to pair up with him, however he angrily refused and stormed out. No one could replace Mitsuki.

7 years past, Kisara was now 10 years old and began to question him about her mother. This brought pain back into Joshua's heart, however he could not stomach to tell her the truth.

"Your mother may not be here right now..but she loves you very much."

It was all he could tell her.
He knew she wanted to know, but she was not yet old enough to understand. Most nights he found himself wallowing through old photos of his wife and read his journal. Coping with this stress was hard enough, but he began to realize, how much his daughter brightened his life.

Life went on as everyday seemed to repeat itself until Joshua was given a job transfer. Apparently a hospital within a small town was in need of doctors as well as professionals who would train those who were to work in the same feild. Agreeing to this he and Kisara left their old city. This was much to Kisara's dismay. She didn't want to move, and because of this she kept silent from her father. Settling with a new house, sorting his work, and putting Kisara in school-plus putting up with her constant complaining- no sooner he began his work, training students and working. It was tiresome work, but it provided good pay and insurance.
It wasn't hard to recognoze the distaste his daughter had for their new town, and try as he might, reasoning her didn't seem to work. She had become distant towards people, and she was struggling in school. Knowing no other motives, Joshua decided to enlist at the local church where they met Hizumi. He literally dragged Kisara into the 'bloody place', as what she referred it as.
Rolling his eyes, Joshua introduced himself and his frightened daughter to Hizumi, her fear of the man caught on quickly. Then again, he was unusually pale, with eyes the color of pure amethyst. Anyone who slightly glanced at would find him beautiful.
Joshua and Hizumi got to know each other very well, he attended the church while, at the same time, trying to ease his daughter's frustration.

He had lost Kisara one day amongst a large crowd of people within the church building. Her being small, he had a hard time, and the bustling crowds wern't making things any easier. Now outside, he persued his search. He began to worry that she had run off, being as stubborn as she was. His search went to no avail until he suddenly spotted Kisara holding Hizumi's hand, walking out the church. He was both amazed and shocked at Kisara's sudden behavior, espessially towards Hizumi. Lisitening as she asked for Hizumi's freindship, he couldn't help but smile.

Things seemed to change for the better. Kisara's change in attitude made things easier on Joshua, though she was still somewhat a trouble-maker at times. Eventually he was introduced to Reise, a young boy whom Kisara had recently met. Taking a liking to Reise, however found distaste in his rough attitude, he knew Kisara considered him a brother. Though he liked Reise, it was hard not to notice the scar which ran down his face. It seemed to aggitate the boy, however, he never bothered to ask for fear of bringing up a troubled past. That being said, he couldn't help but think of his own, and as Kisara continued to ask about her mother, it became harder to keep it all in. He wanted to let it all out, but how could he tell anybody?

At the time when Reise went into hospitalization, Joshua took this chance to get to know him better, because he was the one to treat Reise. Discovering that Reise had cancer, he agreed and promised with Reise's plea to not tell anyone-espessially Kisara. Why the boy wanted it a scret was beyond him, perhaps he didn't want to be treated specially, or be considered weak. In any case, Joshua did his best to ensure Reise was back to a medoerate health, though he did show signs of weakness.

Though older now, many of his female collegues attempted to become a couple with him, however, these acts only angered Joshua, making him spiteful of the moment as he recalled his wife, and his promise to her. He would never leave for another woman, and he made sure of it. A young woman named Lyn, who looked identical to Mitsuki, nearly stole Joshua's heart. Confessing that she loved him, Joshua refused, as hard as it was, as he could not let the woman's appearance fool him. That being said, Kisara wasn't too pleased about havinga step-mother. He remained single. Lyn still continued to chase him as he tried to shun her away, not interested. One day, Lyn came into Joshua's office, forcing a kiss to his lips, once more confessing her love for him. He nearly gave in as he kissed her back, however he pushed her away, finally telling her that his heart belonged to someone else. He felt disgusted inside for kissing the woman, feeling that he had betrayed Mitsuki. From that moment on, he ignored Lyn.

It was about the time Reise disappeared. Kisara had been cutting school only to sit by the phone. Even Joshua's warnings and demands didn't trigger any threat into the girl, thus he joined in the search for Reise's whearabouts. eventually, the search was over. Joshua felt pained about his daughter's loss, knowing there was nothing he could do.

Getting remarried had occured to him, he even found himself thinking about Lyn once and awhile. But, he could not forget his promise to his wife, Mitsuki.
Two years before Hizumi's church went out of commission, Joshua finally explained his feelings outloud. Feeling that Hizumi was the only one who would understand, and knowing he was someone true to his word, though he didn't include every detail of his story.
"This is between you and me. I don't want Kisara to know. Not yet."
Joshua began to feel horrible. Now he was keeping two vital secrets about the people she cared about from her.
