Brother had soon sent the kids to where their parents were. After eating, they left Bevelle for the Calm Lands.
Reiketsu~what happened after you made us leave?
Ann~The other one was more exciting. She held her ground and also knows Lady Yuna.
Koneko~You didn’t hurt her?
Ann~No. I didn’t have to frighten her like the other one. After that, we just partied
Tenka~If it got resolved then why not let us come back?
Kiba~There weren’t really any kids. Also, you three wouldn’t have been able to since it was a bar
Reiketsu~Not even with mom?
Ann~No. They still needed to keep some rules with me
Koenko~I think you’re only saying that because you got drunk
Ann~Okay, there was that too, but you three still wouldn’t have been allowed because of the alcohol.
Kiba~Relax guys. It was only one night. Another party will come where you three are invited and will be better than yesterday’s anyway
Triplets~Okaaay…
They sighed and walking along with their parents. As they came near Macalania, they followed the other fork in the road that will lead them to the Calm Lands.

They walked for a few hours before coming to a mountain pass
Koneko~Are we almost there?!
Ann~Yes, we are. It’s just past here. Maybe another hour and we’ll be at the plain
Tenka~Maybe a break?
Ann~Okay. Try not to eat too much snacks. There’ll bevendors there.
The triplets nodded, and they rested against the wall as close as possible in case anyone needed to pass.
Koneko~We’ll still stay here for a few days?
Ann~Of course. You’ll have your own chocobos too
Reiketsu~Are you sure there’s enough things to do for us to stick around?
Ann~I think so. And even if there isn’t, we just leave sooner than expected.
Reiketsu~I guess that’s true.
They rested for a few more minutes before heading towards their destination. It wasn’t much longer before they came through the crevice and was overlooking a large plan with some tends closet to the middle of it all.
Koneko~Woah! There’s so much to do down ther!
Kiba~Hey, you can’t start running off yet. Let’s find a place to stay first
Reiketsu~Dad’s right. Wait a bit longer sis
Koneko~Awwww…Okay…
Tenka~We might not be able to run off to play the games, but I’ll race you down the hill
Koenko~You’re on!
Reiketsu~not if I beat you both
They ran off without getting the okay from either parent
Kiba~I Expected you to either join them or stop them completely
Ann~We can see them from here. It’s fine
At the bottom of the hill, Ann and Kiba rejoined the kids and headed for the center of the plain to find lodging for the time they planned on spending there.
Reiketsu~Can we go by ourselves to explore the games?
Ann~What do you think Kiba?
Kiba~Only if you three stay together the whole time. I saw that the games are spread out, this way, if you get lost then at least all three of you will be together if we need to look for you
Tenka~I think that’s fair. I’m sure we were going to do that anyway
Koneko~Yeah. We can take turns choosing where to go next.
Ann~Good. You can go without us. Oh yeah, you’d have to ask, but I’m pretty sure they can shuttle you between the games too
Tenka~Let’s go!
Kiba~Take your weapons. There are still fiends around here
Ann~And stay away from the northeast corner. Tougher fiends are out there, and I don’t want you to get hurt without properly preparing.
Koneko~How bad are they that we can’t go?
Ann~Think of the Ochus, but uglier and a lot stronger. I think they can also made it so potions can do damage to you instead
Reiketsu~Okay. That’s fair. We’ll stay away from that area
Ann~That’s my boy. You kids have fun
She kissed their heads, and Kiba hugged them
Kiba~Here’s some money. You’re probably going to need to buy tokens to play. Come back in about two hours for a nap
Tenka~Two hours, got it
Koneko~I saw one with bird fiends. That looked fun since they’re all flying in a row
Reiketsu~okay. We can go there first, but I want to look at that one with the dog track
Tenka~let’s stop talking then and go
They trotted off
Ann~That’s the nicest I’ve seen them towards each other this whole trip
Kiba~They’ll be fine even against the stronger fiends because of that. They already have a bond because they’re siblings, but now, it’s just much stronger because they can cooperate without having to hurt each other first
Ann~I can teach them stronger magic now too
KIba~Try not to hurt them if you teach them other skills. You remember when you snapped at Rei?
Ann~Yeah, yeah. He was being a brat through
Kiba~Asking why he needs to know status inducing skills does not count
Ann~It is if he demands that the advanced techniques be taught first
Kiba~You know he takes from your side. At least you know he’s strong too
Ann~Yeah. I’m gonna sleep

Koneko~These games are pretty fun. Do you think we can make them last a week?

Koneko gasped and jumped excitedly

Ann~You kids bagged a lot of stuff. Tired of the games yet?
Triplets~Yeah, but you promised chocobos
Ann~Yes, Yes. Now, do you want to train the chocobos or do you want to ride them around?
Tenka~Are there different handlers?
Ann~Yeah. We can just rent some chocobos if we’re just going to travel. Otherwise, a friend might still be around if you want to take the time to train your own
Reiketsu~Let’s train our own. We don’t want to leave quite yet
Ann~Haha okay. Let’s rent some first, because my friend is near the path to Gagazet, and that’s a few hours to walk all the way there

After an hour of riding, they came to a crevice that was a little ways from the path to Mount Gagazet
Koneko~We’re so far
Ann~Yup. I’m sure we can stay here just so we don’t have to travel again.
Reiketsu~~You just want to see us struggle

The triplets couldn’t help but chuckle. They went into the building and Ann called out. A voice called back so they went further in

Ann sighed. They came to a pen with some boxes toppled over
Ann~Come on kids. Let’s help him
They each helped pull off some boxes before Clasko was pulled up
Ann~How’ve you been?
Clasko~Lady Ann! I’m great. You’re so grown up now. If it weren’t for the scar…
Ann~Hahahha yeah. Meet my family. My husband, Kiba, and our triplets, Reiketsu, Tenka, and Koneko.
Clasko~Please to meet you all.
The triplets bowed and Kiba gave a nod
Clasko~What brings you back to Spira? I didn’t expect you back honestly.
Ann~Hehe no one did. Between you and me, O’aka and Wantz were the only ones who weren’t excited to see me again
Clasko laughed and they were led to a pen of chocobos
Clasko~Chocobos have a long life span, but I’m sorry to say your chocobo passed a few years ago Ann. The bright side, this clutch of eggs is the third generation. They’ll be hatching soon
Kiba~It almost sounds like you planned this
Clasko~Haha, no. Some chocobo are really great, and I like to selectively breed them The one I gave to ann was the product of some of my practice runs at the time, and you were so enthusiastic when I showed you and Sir Auron that clutch hatching, I offered one of the chicks. That one specifically was so well rounded in personality and ability that I decided to breed her
Koneko~When will they hatch?
Clasko~Any day now. The eggs sometimes makes noises and shakes now and again
Reiketsu~Can we stay here to watch them hatch Clasko?
Clasko~you can, but I don’t really have beds if you don’t mind. The best I can do is lay a blanket over unused chocobo bedding
Koneko~That sounds a lot comfier than sleeping on the ground. Mom?
Ann~If you can do that Clasko, the kids can tough it out. I’ve had them sleep in trees before, so this is a treat
Kiba~Not to mention on the river bank too
Ann~Hehe that’s right! I hated those too
Tenka~Then why sleep there with us?
Ann~So you don’t complain that you shouldn’t if I don’t. Uncle did too because I would
Clasko~Your training is crazy, but that’s also the reason why you and your chocobo got so close
Tenka~Can we stat training them as soon as they hatch?
Clasko~Like riding them? No. They won’t be big enough yet
Koneko~So then it’s just getting them to understand certain commands and house breaking them? That’ll take a lot of time
Clasko~yeah it will, but they won’t understand any commands yet. The best they’ll do is come for food and respond to their names
Reiketsu~When can we start riding them?
Clasko~Not until they’re 3 or 4 months. By then they’ll be close to full grown adults and will be safer to ride them without hurting them
Ann~We’re not staying here for that long kids, but we can pop in frequently, so you can get time in with them
Kiba~So we’ll be heading out after they hatch?
Triplets~But Mom!
Clasko~They’re just like you
Ann~What are you talking about? I was much worse. Okay, we can spend a few days after as well. Only fair because Grandpa let me too
The three started jumping excitedly
Clasko~Think of a name for them. Otherwise, I’ll give them a name
They nodded and sat at the pen
Ann~Gimme your things. That way you can just watch the eggs
The three took off their bags and held it up. Kiba and Ann took their things
Clasko~Will they be okay by themselves
Ann~Yeah, they will. Too ecited about the eggs to fight with each other for now. Will you show us where we’ll stay?
Clasko~That’s the idea. This way. It’ll be close to my room
He led them to the back of the avandoned temple and stopped where he kept the hay.
Clasko~My sleeping area isn’t much better. They only benefit is that I have a cot
Kiba~Hehe don’t worry. It’s perfect as it is. The kids will love this compared to bare floor
Clasko~They live such a hard life
Ann and Kiba chuckled
Clasko~Don’t tell me this is easy compared to what you went through
Ann~Tons. But lately, they have been working together a lot better. I wonder what happened
Clasko~What do you mean?
Ann~They used to fight more with each other. Even when they have a common goal, there’s always at least one fight
Clasko~You’re not over thinking this to just being silbing rivalry?
Kiba~No. She has a point here. They don’t fight just because of a rivalry thing. They just do. But this whole week of being at the plains, they didn’t fight at all. Do you think it was from Bevelle?
Ann~Maybe…
Clasko~Should I ask?
Kiba~Ann?
Ann~Was mad. More than the Wantz incident.
Clasko~That was bad too…Everyone okay?
Kiba~Yeah. No one hurt, but I dunno about mentally
Ann~Only that kid. She was probably only a baby when Sin was destroyed.
Clasko~So…you scared her? You’re very scary
Kiba~You have no idea. Ann, go rest. Clasko and I can watch the kids
Ann~Hey, come on
Kiba~You like your naps. I’ll send Koenko over in case she wants to as well
Ann~Wait-
Kiba~Before you knock over a pillar
Ann~Oh fine…As long as the triplets don’t chase each other you won’t have another pillar down
Kiba gave her a kiss and left with Clasko to let Ann get settled

Clasko~You were quick to leave
Kiba~If given the chance, she’d try to get involved and might cause trouble
Clasko~You have a point…Sir Auron had to make her slow down a lot while she helped me. She relied too much on speed
Kiba~She normally runs errands, so speed is everything to get big tips.
Clasko~That makes sense. Hey, your daughter, I didn’t want to ask Ann because I have no idea which dicrection she’ll go
Kiba~Hehe, Koneko does have a tail and cat ears. The kids are triplets. We have no idea what kind of genetics went into play for it to turn out like this
Clasko~That’s pretty cool though. Think they’d be better at chores?
Kiba~yeah, so long as the eggs aren’t hatching today. They won’t want to miss it
Clasko~Like I said, not for a few more days. The eggs will hatch by the end of the week

Three days passed since Clasko told them about the soon-to-hatch eggs. The triplets were watching the eggs again when they heard tapping sounds
Koneko~Is it happening?
Tenka~They haven’t stopped this time
Reiketsu~Mom! Clasko!
Kiba~Is it happened?
Koneko~We think so!
The other three got to the pen after a few minutes and saw a crack on the three eggs
Ann~This is great. The kids will love it
One of the eggs had a hole, and a beak poked out
Koneko~Oh! It’s coming out!
Clasko~Hehe, you guys will be here a little while. They don’t always hatch at once, and it takes a couple minutes each
The other two eggs soon had holes too. The first one’s hole got bigger as did the others, and more chirping sounds came from the eggs
Koneko~Should we help?
Clasko~No. It’s better for the chicks to do this themselves
Tenka~They’re so close
Reiketsu~It’s gonna be so fun once we can train them
After a couple more minutes the chicks were completely hatched and were huddled together
Clasko~They all look good and healthy. Some other chocobos will come around to greet them, so come help me fill the feeders so we can take them to eat
The triplets followed Clasko to the feed storage while Ann and Kiba stayed
Koneko~So how are we going to train them?
Clasko~Need to first get them to follow when they’re shown food
Reiketsu~Which is why we need to feed them now
Clasko~yup. After that, they just need to grow first before teaching them how to have riders
Tenka~They’re too small anyway. They’ll probably ride us first
Koneko~Hehe it’s funny how small they are now. You said three months before we can ride them?
Clasko~Yeah. With your training and traveling, you won’t even realize three months have past. Oh, did you three figure out names for them?
Reiketsu~We did, but how will we know which one is which?
Clasko~I can tell them apart, and which one came from what egg.
Tenka~The egg that first cracked was mine. Its name is Kaji.
Reiketsu~My egg was last. It’ll be Yuki
KOneko~Mine will be Mizu
Clasko~Got it. Now, to feed the little chicks.
