The Things We've Lost
"Riku, where did you get to!Riku!Darn it...He's too fast.", Rixa mumbled to herself, still running in the direction he was heading, "I know he wants to save Naminé and Kairi, but it's just..."
She stopped moving and looked down at the floor.She was feeling conflicted with herself for unknown reasons.Was it bothering her that he was so focused on saving Naminé and Kairi, who was his childhood friend?Could it be that she was afraid of being left out, of succumbing to her loneliness and letting the emptiness take over her?
No, she thought, I won't let it happen!She's just a friend, nothing more.
"Well, well, looks like one of our little traitors came back for a visit."
"What?"
Rixa turned around to see Saix staring at her with his arms crossed in disdain.He had an angry look on his face and his claymore was in his right hand.She put herself in a defensive position, remembering the fight she had against him and how dangerous he could be if he went berserk.
"No hello, Rixa?You truly disappoint me.Running off from the Organization and teaming up with the Keyblade master's friend...I expected so much more from you.But I guess that you couldn't help yourself.Their hearts probably attracted you and since darkness cannot resist such a delightful treat, you had to chase after either one."
"You're lying!I left the Organization because of how twisted it all is!Xion and Roxas...you hurt them so much with your actions!And when Axel left you because he couldn't take it anymore, you turned on him and tried to eliminate him!"
"It was necessary.No one leaves the Organization and lives.Axel is no more as we speak.He's gone from this world, little Rixa, all because he thought he was more than a Nobody."
"Wha?What...what are you saying?WHAT DID YOU DO TO AXEL?!?!?"
"Me?I did nothing to that traitor.While Sora was crossing the inbetween, I sent Dusks after him, but Axel had to butt in and rescue him.He even sacrificed himself to protect Sora and help him reach The World That Never Was.Fool...He was worth nothing after all."
"How can you talk about him like that?!?You're nothing, but a cold-hearted b*****d!"
"Cold-hearted?We Nobodies have no heart, Rixa, unlike you, who possess a heart which was consumed by the darkness and transformed into it's vessel.Were it not for you, none of this would have taken place in the first place.But now, Lord Xemnas is finalizing the preparations for Kingdom Hearts, and I cannot allow any interruptions, not from you or Sora."
Rixa dropped to the floor and started crying, letting out all her frustrations.How could Saix act that way, without a single care?Axel may have been a Nobody and Roxas too.Even Xion, who was only a replica, was so important to her.They were human, no matter what anyone said.She had lost all that.They were all gone, without a trace.Just like that, her world was shattered yet again...
"Now Rixa, it's time for you to join them, wherever they may be.", he whispered, raising his claymore above her head to finish her off, "Farewell."
At that moment, a ball of fire hit Saix right in the chest and he staggered to the floor.Rixa didn't move an inch, still disturbed by what she had heard from Saix.
"Whoo, we made it just in time!", a familiar voice yelled, "Nice shot, Donald."
"I wasn't gonna let him get away!Not after all the trouble we've had to go through because of him!", Donald yelled, keeping his staff handy in case Saix tried to attack.
"Hyuck, if it isn't that girl Riku told us about on our way here!", Goofy said, offering his hand to Rixa, "Hello again."
"Hey, are you okay?Did he hurt you?You just stay here and we'll take care of him.", Sora said, smiling, "Let's go, guys!"
Sora and his friends charged at Saix, who was already running away from them.Riku had entered the room and saw Rixa on the floor.He walked to her and tried to get her to respond.Right behind him was Kairi, who looked around in case any Nobodies were close.
"Rixa, what's wrong?What happened?"
"R-Riku, he's...he's gone.Axel's gone!", she screamed, stuffing her face into his chest, "He's gone, he's gone, he's gone!!!"
"Rixa, I'm so sorry...", he whispered to her, unsure of what he could say to comfort her.
