Time for Action
Some time after Rixa's discovery, the mansion had been oddly quiet.No one thought much of it until DiZ went to talk with Naminé.When he reached her room and opened the door, he saw that the room was empty and that Naminé was nowhere to be found.He realized that she must have gone to the Castle That Never Was to rescue Kairi, which worried him.Naminé had no way to protect herself from danger and it was too much for her to risk her life to try to save Kairi.He had not told Riku that his childhood freind had been captured by the Organization from fear of his reaction.Calming himself first, he left the room and headed down the stairs where Riku and Rixa were chatting with each other.
"Riku, Rixa, I am afraid that things have become complicated.Naminé has disappeared and the only place I can imagine she could be is in the Organization's headquarters.", DiZ said in a worrisome tone, his usual demeanor broken, "I'm not so sure of the details, but I fear she has gone to help Kairi.The Organization has been keeping her there and I tried to talk Naminé out of it, but she would not listen."
"Kairi captured?I have to go help!They could have hurt Kairi and managed to have trapped Naminé in the process!", Riku yelled in anger, "DiZ, let me go after her and help them before something horrible happens to both of them!"
"Riku, it is not that simple.The place is heavily guarded by Nobodies and it's very dangerous.Going in there to retrieve them could cost you your life and-"
"Dangerous, nothing.I'll go with him.I know the place well and with me guiding him, we'll be sure to reach Kairi and Naminé before they get hurt.", Rixa exclaimed, calming Riku down, "It'll be a piece of cake if both of us go."
"Rixa, are you...fine with doing this?I mean, it was your old home...", Riku whispered.
"Look, Kairi and Naminé are the priority here and we can't let them stay there!The Organization is ruthless and they won't hesitate.We have to hurry.Enough with this talk about me."
"Rixa..."
"Riku, there's no changing her mind and she is right.Taking her with you will be most helpful in finding them.Now, follow me to my laboratory and I'll lead you to the passageway to quickly reach the Castle That Never Was.", DiZ said, walking away with Riku and Rixa right behind him.
Once in the lab, DiZ started typing something on the computer screen, activating a beam near the corner of the room.Riku took Rixa's hand into his to reassure for the obstacles ahead.She smiled at him, whispering that she was going to be fine and that nothing was going to stand in their way to rescue Kairi and Naminé.
"The system is ready.Be careful and whatever you do, do not let yourselves be ambushed.", DiZ said before standing up, "We have not come this far to lose it all."
"DiZ, you big worrywart.We'll be fine.", Rixa said jokingly, "It's just a little game, that's all."
With her final words, Riku and Rixa entered the beam.DiZ sighed and prepared to follow right behind them.It was almost time for him to execute his plan of converting Kingdom Hearts into data with a machine he had built.
"Let us hope that all goes well..."
