The Land of Dragons
"Riku, Rixa, I have a job for you both.It appears that Sora has made much progress since he was intercepted some time ago.He and his friends are currently in the Land of Dragons.I require that you check on him and test his abilities.", DiZ said in his usual, cold voice, "And I expect you not to go overboard, Rixa.Riku will be keeping a close eye on you."
"Pshh, I don't need you to remind me.", Rixa thought to herself, making a face at DiZ behind his back.
"DiZ, Rixa isn't a child.I'm sure she'll behave herself just fine without me having to step in.", Riku answered, "She's a big girl."
"Big girl or not, that child has no self control.How she ever caught your attention, I will never understand.", DiZ whispered to Riku, "Now be off with both of you.I still have work to finish."
Rixa stopped her sillyness and walked right behind Riku after the conversation was over.It was odd how Riku and him never seemed to fight and just went along with what one said.During the way out, Rixa put her headphones on and as the music began to play, Riku opened the portal to their destination.In her mind, she was extremely excited to be going to a new world, especially one where she might see a dragon.Something about it just ran through her mind, being able to see a dragon.Such wonderous creatures...
"Maybe we'll see a dragon when we get there!", she squealed, surprising Riku, "And when we do, I'm taking a ride on it!"
"I doubt we'll see one, but if you're this excited, I won't ruin it for you.", he replied, remembering the time Malificent had transformed into a dragon, "Not that I would be so happy to see one..."
"And why not?Dragons are absolutely amazing!"
"Let's just say I had a bad experience with one and I'm not in the hurry to run into another one."
"What???When?What was it like, being face to face with a dragon?Tell me!"
"Sorry, but it'll have to wait.We're here."
As they exited the portal, Rixa saw that they were in a mountain area covered in snow.She couldn't imagine a dragon living in a place like this, but she wouldn't let it ruin her chances.Riku pulled out the Sora locator and tried to pinpoint his location to find him as fast as they could.He hadn't fought Sora for so long and he had wanted to have a battle with him for the longest time.They were rivals, after all.Rixa was still focused on looking for the ever elusive dragons and didn't pay attention to what Riku was doing.She ran around, yelling for the dragon to come out and face them, if a dragon there was.After shouting for what seemed like an eternity, she gave up and kicked a rock, sending it tumbling down.A little way down from where they were, she heard a small voice exclaim at having been hit by the rock.
"Oww!Why, I oughta!'
"Donald, gwarsh, it's just a rock.No reason for you to shout."
"Wait a minute, guys.Somebody could be up there.We should check it out.Maybe it's another one of those Organization guys."
"If it is, I'm gonna show them not to mess with Donald Duck!"
Sora, Goofy and Donald started running up the snow covered ground in the direction from which the rock had come from.Donald was mumbling to himself about what he would do to whoever hit him with the rock, Organization or not.Goofy couldn't help, but laugh at Donald's temper.They were just about there when Riku saw them approaching.
"Rixa, hide.I'm the one he's going to fight.I can't let you get caught in this."
"What?I'm not going to let you have all the fun!I didn't come here just to be a bystander to another one of your fights, not after what happened the last time."
"Rixa, please.I'm asking you as a favor.Don't get involved in this."
She gave up and hide behind a boulder, complaining about the whole thing.DOing nothing bored her more than anything and she didn't want Riku to get hurt.Not after that fight with Roxas...
Sora and his friends reached the top of the road they had been walking on and saw a cloaked figure standing a few steps away from them.The group pulled out their weapons and prepared to defend themselves from the Organization member.They already had some experience fighting their kind and weren't about to lose to this one.All of a sudden, a strong wind began to blow, and Donald and Goofy ahd trouble standing up.They screamed at Sora, who was about to grab them, but were blown away before he was close.Being left alone with the figure, Sora charged at him with all his might.Pulling out his sword, the figure blocked Sora's attack and the battle had started.Rixa covered her ears, trying to block out the sounds of their weapons clashing, Riku being hit and Sora yelling.She didn't want the battle to end the same way it had in The City That Never Was.She was about to join in when Riku backed off and started running in her direction.
"Hey, wait!Come back!Just who are you?', Sora yelled, chasing after him, "I want to talk to you!"
The cloaked figure dissappeared without a trace, leaving Sora to stand alone in the snow.Donald and Goofy had managed to climb back up and saw Sora staring at the ground.
"Sora, what happened?Did you beat him?", Goofy asked, worried.
"You guys...I think that cloaked figure...was Riku.I'm not really sure, but I think it was him."
"Riku?Then that means he found a way out!", Donald screamed, "You finally found him!"
"Yeah, I guess I did.But why did he run away?", Sora asked, feeling confused about the encounter.
"Maybe he just didn't want to talk just yet.Gwarsh, you'll see him again, Sora.", Goofy said, trying to cheer him up.
"I'm sure you're right.At least we know that he's ok."
"He really has gotten tougher since we last fought.DiZ will be glad to hear about this.", Riku said, "What's the matter, Rixa?"
"..."
"Then I guess we'll be going."
On the way back to the mansion, Rixa didn't speak a word to Riku or herself.She had a lot on her mind, but didn't know how to express it.Once they arrived, Riku reported to DiZ and told him all about the battle with Sora.Rixa, on the other hand, locked herself in a room and laid on the bed, still quiet.
"Please don't take him away..."
