Battle against the Heartless
"Cloud, you didn't have to hit her so hard.We could have talked with her and gotten her to stop.", Sora said in a sad tone, watching Rixa being carried back to Cid's place by Leon, "Now she'll have a hard time trusting us if she thinks we'll hurt her at any moment."
"It was necessary.She looked ready to kill either one of you.And you were making too much noise.", Cloud groaned, "I prefer the quiet over your arguing."
"Cloud, we weren't arguing.We were simply trying to snap her out of whatever insane idea she had in her head of going into the mansion by the cliffs.", Leon clarified, careful not to wake up Rixa, "This girl gives me shivers for some reason."
"A girl giving you the shivers, Leon?But she's just a girl, and she looks far too nice to hurt anyone.", Sora added, "Far too nice.I think Alexa is just confused."
"Confused?More like rabid from what I saw before I intervened.Lucky for you that I got there.", Cloud said in a cold fashion, stopping and turning around, "I have better things to waste time on."
Cloud walked away from the both of them, leaving them with Alexa.Leon stared at Alexa's face, trying to figure out what it was about her that scared him.A girl like her, giving him that kind of feeling?No way she could be your normal girl if she had that effect on him.Cid had to know something about this, so Leon decided to ask him once they got to his place.A croaking sound started to follow them as they continued to walk.Sora stopped, getting his keyblade to prepare for whatever was behind them.A small group of Shadows was following them right after they had left the cliffs, massing themselves near the gate that entered into the cliffs.Leon smirked and put Rixa down, unsheating his gunblade and standing next to Sora.
"I hope you're not rusty with that weapon, Leon.We've got a lot of work on our hands.", Sora joked, watching the Shadows approach.
"I could say the same, Sora."
The Shadows jumped for them as Leon blocked one of the attackers from reaching Sora.Sora dodgerolled to the left and slashed at one of the Shadows, defeating it with ease.Once the Shadows left Leon alone and headed for Sora, Leon attacked them from behind without letting them realize what was going on.Leon slashed from the back as Sora slashed from the front, destroying the Shadows with ease.They were satisfied with their work, barely wasting energy from the fight.Leon looked at Rixa, still unconcious, and picked her up, ready to walk back to Cid's place undisturbed.Sora began to brag about how easy it was for them to defeat the Shadows, making Leon smile at him.
Still a kid..., he thought.
