"So, that's about all I can say.Just patrolling the area for Heartless with Donald and Goofy.It's kind of like our job to do that.You really should be careful.They're pretty dangerous.", Sora said to Rixa, who wasn't paying attention.
Ever since she had run into Sora and his friends, he kept talking about himself and asking her questions.A little more and she would have attacked him if they hadn't arrived to Cid's place.She wondered what kind of person he could be and if she would have to defned herself from harm.Sora opened the door for her and let her go inside, signaling Donald and Goofy to go in.Rixa was impressed by the inside of the house, a round table in the middle of the room with four chairs by it, bookshelves stocked to the brim near the walls, a small bed by a far off corner, and a giant computer screen with a board in front.A man was sitting before the screen, typing on the board.He groaned a little and moved his right hand to the back of his head and scratched.Three people stood close to him, paying attention to his work while not asking questions that would annoy him.Sora smiled and whispered something to Rixa, which made her keep her mouth shut.
"Hey guys, we're back.We took care of the Heartless near the gate, but we found this girl roaming the area.It won't bother any of you if she stays here for a while?", Sora asked.
One of the people standing near the man on the chair turned around and looked at Sora.He was a tall man with a scar over his nose, hazel eyes, brown hair ending near his neck, a white shirt with a black vest over it, black gloves on his hands, studded boots and belted pants.He glared at Sora momentarily, then smiled at him.
"No, we won't mind, Sora.But who is she and was she roaming the area near the gate?I thought we warned everyone over how dangerous that place is.", the scarred man said.
"Leon, she's just fine.I made sure nothing happened to her on the way here."
"So girl, what's your name?", Leon asked, staring at her face with his arms crossed, "You do have a name, right?"
"Don't act so smug.I don't have to tell you my name if I don't want to.And Heartless don't scare me.I can take care of myself just fine, thank you very much.", Rixa replied in anger, her rage rising, "Is it because I'm a girl that you think I'm weak???"
She was about to tackle him when one of the other two people blocked her path.The person was a girl, about 18 years of age, with short brown hair and brown eyes.She spread her arms before Leon and giggled at Rixa, almost amused at her attempt to hurt Leon.She had on a blue shirt with a white flowers design, light brown khaki shorts, light brown boots and a white headband.She giggled at Rixa again and turned to Leon.
"Leon, she IS right.Girls aren't weak.I'm sure she's pretty tough.Why else would she have tried to attack you just now?", she laughed.
"But Yuffie...she's young.She could have gotten hurt..."
"Hey!I'm young and yet I'm just fine!", Sora yelled in dismay, "I can handle those Heartless without a single problem."
"Sora, I didn't mean you...", Leon answered, lowering his head at the mess he had made, "I know you can take care of yourself."
"HEY, I SAID QUIET!"
Everyone stopped talking the instant the man in the chair had screamed.He stood up, fixed his shirt and looked at everyone.He sneered at Leon for starting an argument and cocked his eye at Sora.The final person walked to his side and whispered in his ear.The old man smiled and laughed to himself.
"Why thank you, Aerith.Now, what did I say about making a ruckus?It's not easy dealing with the work I have and you're all making it harder by acting like a hen house!", he said, his hands on his sides, "I would appreciate it if you...COULD TONE IT DOWN!"
"Cid, calm down.I'm sure they've learned their lesson.", the woman next to him said in a calm voice, "Everyone, please remember that Cid needs the quiet to be able to do his work."
The woman had the most wonderful smile on her face, able to calm down anyone with just one look.Her long brown hair was tied up in a french braid, a green bow tied to the end.She sat down on one of the chairs near the round table, careful not to let her pink dress catch on one of the loose nails.Her silver bangles jingled as she moved her arms to lay them on her lap, making a sound sweet to the ears.
"Now then, since we're all peaceful now, how about telling us your name?', Aerith asked Rixa.
"It's Alexa.", Rixa lied, choosing her words wisely, "I'm 15 years old and I would like it if Leon over there didn't consider me weak.If he'd like, I could show him my skills."
"That's not necessary.", Aerith answered, "We can all just rest up for the day.You can stay with us for tonight, Alexa.We have enough room for one more person."
"Alright...I guess I could stay one night.But I'm leaving in the morning."
Once the sun had set, the group divided the space and each one stayed in their spot while another went outside to keep an eye out for Heartless.Once Rixa was sure no one would see her, she left the house and headed in the direction of the gate.Once she had arrived to the cliffs, she sat down and howled to the wind.The ground shook as the dog jumped from above and landed near her.He barked and let her pet his head, liking the very touch of her fingers through his fur.
"I'll be gone for some time, but not too long.I think I've found the perfect place to study the Keyblade Master.Not to worry, if any problems arise, I'll be sure to call you to me."
Rixa stretched her arms and jumped onto the dog's back.He howled and inmediately sped off into the cliffs.
