"You guys, I wanna ask you something.", Roxas said, "Do you think we're...normal?"Axel, Xion and Rixa looked at him, not understanding his question.Their missions were easy and they had arrived at their usual spot earlier than usual.It was quiet and nothing seemed to stir.Everyone was in their homes,trying to stay warm from the sudden cold that overcame the town.Winter was approaching fast and that meant time to prepare.
"You heard me.", Roxas said, "Do you think we're normal?"
"If by normal in Nobody terms, then yeah.", Axel answered, "Not much to say there."
"No, Axel.I meant if we're like them.Even though we don't have hearts, why do we do the same things they do?", Roxas asked, "It's not like we're the same as them..."
"Roxas, it doesn't matter.Even if we don't have hearts to feel with, we're still ourselves.", Rixa answered, "And we'll get hearts of our own once Kingdom Hearts is complete."
"But why do we need them?", Xion asked, "We're doing just fine without them."
"Xion, we can't answer that until we experience it for ourselves.", Roxas answered, "Then we can judge better."
"Besides, would you really call us normal?", Rixa asked, stretching her arms, "We've got a lazy bum, a zombie, a quiet girl and a psycho."
"Hey!Who you calling lazy?!?", Axel yelled, "I just happen to like taking naps!"
"I'm not a zombie!", Roxas screamed, "Not anymore..."
"I'm not that quiet...am I?", Xion wondered."But wait a mintue.Why are you a psycho?"
"That's a secret.", Rixa grinned, "In summary, we're as far from normal as they come."
They laughed at Rixa's remark, watching the clouds in the sky.Different shapes for every cloud kept them amused.Rixa didn't join the other three when they joked about a cloud looking like Saix's bloated head, only thinking to herself.
What is normal in our terms?Was I normal back when I was human?, she thought.
"Axel, what was it like...being human?", she suddenly asked.
"More or less, the same.I haven't changed really.", he answered, "Still the same guy."
"Lazy like always.", Rixa joked.
Axel hugged her and patted her on the head.He enjoyed spending time with her and doing things with her.He felt different whenever he was around Rixa.He would think about it when he lied down on his bed, how special she was and how important as well.Roxas and Xion were special too, but not in the same way Rixa was.He cared about her deeply, just like he would if she WERE his little sister.Heh, Saix would laugh if he heard, he thought.
"Axel, look!It's snowing!"
He looked up and saw snowflakes falling.Xion and Roxas had extended their arms to try to catch some, while Rixa watched.He smiled to himself, glad that he had met them and gotten to become friends with them.We really are normal...
