This thing I do
Others think is strange
They always ask
Is it an addiction, or obsession

I tell them
I'm not so sure
The first time was out of impulse
and if I keep doing it, is it an addiction

The second time
Was from sadness
Now every time I'm sad, I do it
So it just might be obsession

So now here I am
With the crimson tears
Asking myself, that very question
Addiction, or Obsession

When I'm sad, I do it
Obsession
For every impulse
Addiction

I wish I could answer
I really do
So I will say this
