A Dream...
I kissed you for the first and last time, but it was all in my dream
As fake as it was real, you were everything to me
When my eyes opened, my heart broke again
Trying to go back, falling deep within
Closing my eyes, but you were already gone
The sun breaks light, the new day of dawn
Thinking, of what could have been
What we could've become
We loved each other, but we were far too young
Years passed and I called you 'my love'
Never held you once, your voice was my drug
Lonely nights, with sleep that didn't come
I prayed every night, for you, my one
My mind was empty, but I filled it with hope
The distance hurts the heart, but we manage to cope
I felt you slip away, slowly, but fast
I convinced myself that your love wouldn't last
But I held on tight, to everything in sight
But that sun goes down, along with it's light
