Ok. Technically, I'm done playing this game. I use the word technically because I still simple adore the game and will be playing it when i go on campuse because Metroid Prime Hunters can only save when you're in the ship and there is no quicksave.

So, since i'm technically done, imma talk about FFTA2.

First off, that is a looooong title, but that's ok because it's got Final Fantasy and the word Grimoire sounds nifty! heart

Second, I looked at the online reviews for FFTA2, and i was surprised by how many ppl HATED the plot line. Personally, I enjoyed the plot ALOT and it made me lol very much. The main characters in the game were also kick-butt. So let's talk about those charas, shall we?

Luso: Luso was just...adorable. I loved him to bits. He was a much, much, MUCH better improvement over Marche, who was almost monotonous and i very much wanted to kick. Luso actually reacts logically to everything...well, almost everything. he screams where the situation calls for it; he freaks out when it calls for it; he gets pissed when it calls for it; and he can act mature. And me makes me lol, so it's all good. 8D;;

What I really hated about him was his speed in battle--it SUCKED. at least it did for me. But what I enjoyed alot in battle was his snarky remarks--and he made a few good ones. xP;

Cid: I adore Cid. Heck, I adore alot of Cids. This Cid is no different from others: he helps out ppl, he likes kids, he get gruff and manages to still act like an old fogey. And even though he looks rather...er, strange, he's really cute. Well, from the inside. Unlike many Cids, though, this Cid has a really dark and shady past, which comes back to bite him in the behind, obviously. I really enjoy his interactions with Luso, because the two of them are coined from the same company. They just make me lol.

Adelle: Girl power, ftw! This girl has it all--the looks, the charms, the cuteness, and the ability to rob boys blind and have them wrapped around her pinky. Which is, btw, exactly what she did to Cid and Luso. She also has a knack of making fun of Luso and he making fun of her, which also makes me lol. She has a love for money and treasure, and that gets her stuck into a lot of pranks with Luso. One of them is part of the story line, and it made me laugh so hard. Girls are girls are girls. xDDD

What I dont like about her is how angsty she gets about her 'hidden powers' and how she winds up being mind-controlled. dumb. What i like AND dont like about her is the unique job she gets--I dont like it becasue i have to quest for most of her items, and i like it because its strong and VERY useful in battle.

Vaan: yes, our dear main hero from FF12 IS LUSO'S LACKEY! mwahahaha! 8D;;;

okay, yeah, no. there's an actual story to that and all, but that's what it boils down to. He and Penelo join the party. I love his eyes, as they are such a beautiful color. He has awesome speed, and his unique Sky Pirate job is very impressive. I hate his low defense though. And...something about him bugs me. Maybe its because he joins near the end of the game and KNOWS NOTHING and i have to teach him all! Dx

...yeah, that must be it.

Penelo: Okay, officially, she sucks. Her speed sucks, her defense sucks, but her Mincing Minuet is AWESOME and she kicks butt as a white mage. So guess what she does on the battle field? Also, while she looks hume, she's like Ritz--a Viera, AND I DONT LIKE THAT!!! I use her only becasue she's a main character.

um...nothing specific about her, really. Except she knows how to make Vaan look stupid to the point where it's funny.

Al-Cid: Any and all interactions with Al-Cid make me lol except for his opportunity turn. He comes in as the lowest lvl chara and AFTER you beat the game, which YOU MANY THINK sucks. But oh no, it gives an excuse to keep on the field. He comes in as an Agent, and that's his only job and thus a downside. He uses guns, has wonderful range, and has the most useful abilites out there. Shame he's such a womanizer, or he'd be my best chara in the game. xD;;;

Frimelda: She is not only my best chara, she's also VERY beautiful and has a sad story behind her. She comes at a low lvl, yeah, but she's an UBER POWERFUL Paladin with dual wield already learned, making her just excellent! heart heart heart She has abnormally high resistance and defense, so she can really take a whacking.

I adore her because of multiple things. I'd spoil the story line for you, but where's the fun in that? ='D

I just wished Luc Sardac or Ghi would have joined as well. *sigh*

Hurdy: I cant belive I almost forgot the moogles! Hurdy is my top fave moogle ever with decen evasion and unique job as a Bard, which has only about three extremely useful abilities. I love his art because a) he wears so much blue, b) he has a blue pom pom, and c) his smile is SO CUTE! <333333 He's Montblanc's youngest brother, which really doesnt win him any points, but still. cuteness. heart

Montblanc: He was the last chara i recruited becasue I didnt notice what i was doing wrong to not get his quest, lol. His quest was obnoxiously funny becasue Luso kinda one-upped him 3 times during it. It made me lol so much and made Montblanc join the clan.

As for him on the battlefield...lets just say that he's the same.


So, what's left? why, everyone!!! 8D
there's 8..or 9, if you count Cid's race, in the game. any important cahras other than Humes and Moogles are NPC's and some of them are awesome while others deserve to be KILLED.

okay. the battle system is the same as the one in FFTA with a few minor differences:
new names for monsters
new names for monster attacks
battles start with 0 mp
new jobs
new abilities
some jobs and abilities taken out
everyone in clan gets the AP points
if you break the judge's rules, he leaves and you cannot revive KO'ed charas
dispatch quests are now job oriented rather than lvl oriented
the battle-dispatch system is new/changed dramatically

all in all, this game is waaay better than FFTA. the side quests actually have stories in them that are meaningful and/or really strange. Like the foodstuffs group....who the heck eats Malboros?! o.O;;

also, the Hume Ransem has become one of my RP charas. man, i get too attatched to ppl who i can make up storylines for. sweatdrop heart
this time around, almost my whole clan has a story. xP;

so, i think that all about this game. i believe if i rated it, it'd get an 8.5/10 becasue it really does rock.
