What did I do this time?
Chapter one part two
Blast in the Past
part one

The TARDIS landed with a loud plop! Jez stood and de-wrinkled her clothes, which was all of a tight fitted sports tank, a scarf that she grabbed before following the Doctor out of her home, and her long and loose workout pants, “Doctor?” she called.
“Aha!” the Doctor jumped up from below, scaring Jez a bit, “I kicked a sprocket out of place. Well, no more of that.” He smiled at Jez as she got her breath back, “Smooth sailing next trip. Now, let’s see where we are shall we?” He said, offering his arm to Jez.
Jezi smiled and wrapped her arm around his, “Let’s.” she replied.
The two walked out of the TARDIS and into an old wine cellar. “Wow! 1689!” Jez said as she took a bottle from the rack, “I bet this’d be worth a pretty penny back home. And the taste must be exquisite.”
“1689? French too,” The Doctor remarked as he took the bottle from Jez, “That was a great year for wine making in France. But, no, you can’t take home an item from the past in order to get profit in the future, and vice versa. It’s a rule.”
Jez pouted a bit, “Rules ruin all the fun.”
The Doctor rolled his eyes and headed out the gate. Jez grabbed a bottle and quickly stuck it in the TARDIS, after all, the Doctor said she couldn’t take anything back if she was going to sell it, he never said anything about her taking it back just for herself. The two found themselves on an island in the Caribbean. It was small, and seemed to have nothing but merchants and the like. People gave Jez odd looks; she replied that by giving them the same look. “I don’t really fit in here.” She said to the Doctor, “Where are we?”
“The Caribbean I believe. And don’t worry, if they ask, I’ll just say you got robbed.” He replied.
“Thanks.” Jez said unenthusiastically.
“Your welcome.” The Doctor replied with a grin.
Jez wondered if he got sarcasm, or was it just the way her voice sounded. After what the Doctor had said about her voice she was thinking about it, almost worrying about it. The two walked down to a docking spit and looked around at the boats there. “Wow, this is so cool!” Jez said, she never really was one for boating, she couldn’t swim and the water scared her, but she did go through a phase where she loved pirates. Now she was brought back to her younger dreams. She ran around the spit like a child in a candy store. The Doctor laughed as he watched.
A silhouette in the port hole of a boat Jez was gazing at stared back at her. He was captivated by her white hair and fair skin. When she looked into the port hole their eyes locked, she couldn’t see his face but she knew there was someone watching her. It gave her a queasy feeling. “Doctor, I’m a bit hungry, perhaps we can go find a place to eat?” she turned and went over to the Doctor.
“Oh, but you looked like you were really enjoying yourself. Something wrong?” He asked.
“Not yet, but if I don’t get out of here, I think something will be.” Jez hinted toward the port hole of the boat.
“Ah, you’re afraid of port holes.” The Doctor laughed.
“Yeah when there’s someone staring at me from them! It was giving off a weird vibe, and my vibes are usually dead on. I was right about you not being a plumber.” Jez said matter-of-factly.
The Doctor laughed, “Yes yes, but, I think your being too paranoid.” He began to leave the deck. Jez followed him.
There was a familiarity between Jez and this man, but not on a personal basis. This man was not really human; he was a hunter after beings with a certain gene. And Jez was the unfortunate one out of a billion to have that gene. The creature smiled, “Ahh, fresh food.” He smiled.
Jez and the Doctor found a nice place to stay, he wasn’t going to tell her, but the Doctor had noticed the creature, and he knew what it wanted, just not who it was going to attack. His initial thought was that it was after the mayor’s daughter; after all, she too had the gene. He had no clue that his new companion had it too. “Well, there’s a gathering later tonight, and we are invited.” He smiled.
Jez looked up from where she had rested with a grin, “Really? Wait, I’m not dressed for, and I don’t’ have anything proper enough for that!” she said, suddenly worried.
“Nonsense! I have all you need in the TARDIS, there’s lots of clothes that will do.” The Doctor smiled and lead Jez back to the TARDIS, “I’ll meet you at the Mayors estate.” He then left.
Jez huffed, the Doctor left her, and how would she find her way… wait, he left her in the wine cellar…
