I'm walking down the beach. Every step a lesson for the next step I'm to reach. Steps of misdirection show things I don't want to see but remind me who I am and of who I want to be. Footprints left behind will eventually erode, but some of them will follow till I've reaped what I have sewed. I see that there are other prints marked into the sand. I'm far from the only one to travel through this land. Some will walk beside me, most will fall behind. Some of them are prints that just exist inside my mind. Some will walk before me to guide me on my way. Often it seems that these are those that never really stay. I don't know where I'm going but there's not much else to do. So I simply keep on walking hoping I can follow through. Hindsight's twenty-twenty, though foresight in short supply. Praying I walk the right direction, I can only try.
