• The Star

    I looked up at the sky last eve
    I saw a shining star
    A little spot of light
    That watched me from afar
    I told that little star up there
    About my hectic day
    I wished that I could be with it
    So, so far away
    Everything was going wrong
    I couldn't stand it anymore
    Everyone seemed to be mad at me
    And I didn't know what for
    Then I felt much better
    Because it seemed I'd found a friend
    So I drove along the road
    And all around the bend
    I got home a little late
    I ate and went to sleep
    Last night I didn't cry
    I didn't even weep
    Today I still feel good
    Because of that one shining star
    That made me feel so happy
    As I drove inside my car
