She wore a cloud about her shoulders
Moving boulders with her toes.
Her hips were made from battleships,
And she shook them where she chose.
Her heart was forged from iron,
So it never missed a beat.
Her soul was tough as leather,
So she wove it to her feet.
Her skin was soft as rose petals
With nettles all ground in.
Her hair was woven only
From the faintest wisps of wind.
When night brought pools of moonlight
She bathed in the cool rays.
She always found herself at home,
No matter where she strayed.
The world was her oyster,
And she its little pearl.
She could have risen to the sky
But instead she chose the world.

- Title: Pieces of a girl
- Artist: SelkeyByNight
- Description: One of my favorite poems that I've written. The first part was written many years ago, up until "nettles all ground in." And the following section was written about two weeks ago, finally finishing the piece.
