Arrogant fools, wishing, hoping themselves to be immortal
Walk onto the battlefield
And then say you aren't scared to death
As men scream their last breath
And pray to the gods for forgiveness.

You shift POVs. first you're talking about a third person, then second person, and back to third person again. I get where you're going, but this poem reads very oddly
