Exploding chunks of metal filled the dark stone streets.
I have no other choice but to run towards sea.
Bullet cases drop to the ground as i cross the corner.
The rampaging officer fired wildly around me and shot walls, bins, floors.
As I ran through a group of people, I hear a loud scream.
Blood pulsates out of a peasant's shoulder.
I have no time to spare, for if I'm left behind in this dystopia, I'll be more dead than a boulder.
I cross the gates that hold our village, I sea a child near being diminished.
A soldier points his rifle towards my head and asks me to freeze.
I can't trust rebels taking over this land, I kept heading towards the sand.
An excruciating pain hits my ear. I can't hear anything but a loud beep, deafining me.
I crouch down on the ground as I can barely stand.
A large vehicle's door blasts out and impales my spine.
I lay on the ground. Next to a willow's vine.
For the pain continues I play dead.
And wait for shining morning to come instead.
I open my eyes and I see the blue
Away from pain, away from the fire.
For the sound of silence still fills me, only this silence reveals freedom.
