When first, I saw within my eyes,
The tree that grew from darkened seas,
Mother nature bathed in twilight,
Birthing love just for a "me."
I felt a quake rumble below,
And fling me far across the blue,
Catching songbirds in my hair,
That guided me right to a "you."
We spoke, and sang, and nested there
A "hope" we fed the morning glare
That wiggled from the blackened ground,
Leaving a trail from roots to crown.
"Curse this skin upon my chest,
That keeps our hearts from being one."
I pulled you closer, delving in
A me in your soul, while in myself, none.
You then took a walk out from your feet,
And danced upon the still remains
Of those, our bodies, lovingly ill,
From longing flowing through our veins.
"A kiss" I say into your lungs,
"Embrace" I speak out from my pores,
"I love" said the pained, waiting tongue,
"A you" said "me" to the girl I adore.
