There was once a story of a sad little girl
who sat all alone in her little dream world
until one day someone came with stories to tell
they didn't knock on the door, they didn't ring on the bell
little girl, she fell hard, little girl, she fell fast
she was in love and happy and no longer alone at last
she threw away her dream world, she had someone to care for
yes she threw all away for she needed nothing her, nothing more.
The seasons passed, kingdoms rose and they fell
little girl was alive and breathing and well
until one day when things started to get strange
little girl, she got clingy, little girl was deranged
with poor self image and cries for attention
she suffocated her lover, she did things not to be mentioned
five months can pass in the blink of an eye
five months and it ended, little girl was lost and awry
she still clung to her lover, or her lover no more
the one who didn't ring on the bell, or knock on the door
little girl was left with nothing, nothing but black
it surrounded her, drowned her, placed a knife in her back.
she would sit and she'd cry, she'd clutch her own chest
where her heart, barely beating, begged to be put to rest
her pain followed her like a shadow, it was there wherever she went
she couldnt escape it, she couldnt evade it, it was always there, devil-sent
she needed to be needed, but she was needed no more
it filled her with sorrow straight down to her core
her lover was there, the girl she loved so very much
but little girl wanted to forget, to forget about love
to forget about pain and forget about her
to forget about all and go back to her world
but her world no longer existed, it was long since gone
along with little girl's dreams, her hopes, her stories and songs.
