As I hold my last moments, and ignore the deathly face
I'm scared stiff as my hearts beats at a lower pace
I'm waiting for you, to arrive next to me
Once, I used to think I'd live for eternity
My skin is growing ice cold to touch
I forget those times that hurt so much
I forget that life was mean and cruel
The times when I had no strength to stand at all
All that matters is that look in your eyes
Oh please my dear, please don't cry
I can't find the words to whisper in your ear;
By the looks of my lungs I'd doubt you'd even hear
As I hold my hand to your tear-stained cheek
The light in my eyes starts to become meek
You stop the hysterics and you regret to do this
You say goodbye with a soft tender kiss
I hope to the lord that you prayed for my soul,
To achieve your love was my only goal.
For a brief moment I feel like I can fly
Then I hear the soft noise of the angels' cry.
