This gloom we call despair?
Entwining through our lives
Like a ribbon in your hair.

Leaving us hopeless.
And cold with such remorse.
With plastered smiles on our faces
That everyone knows we force.

The emotion that will shatter us
And leave us filled with doubt.
This emotion, yes,
Is one I could live without
