I am old and tired
withered
stressed
disgruntled
That seductive slumber calls to me
beckons me
pulls me
tempts me
Sometimes I want to fly far far far away
where no one will know
where no one will care
where no one will see
Sometimes I want to cut myself
stab myself
injure myself
in someway
Sometimes I want to just end it
in the temple?
across the neck?
the wrists?
Sometimes I wish for a coma
a stasis
a trance
Something
Something
Something that will join me with slumber
Slumber that I cannot wake from
Slumber that will not bother me
Slumber that eases me
consoles me
consumes me
Sometimes...

- Nice poem I like it. I was listening to the singer Jem the song "They" which made this poem sound cooler while reading it.
