Acid blood through arctic runnel veins
Through her skin, Down her arms
Onto the ground it stains
Acid tears through cloud glass eyes
Under the facade, within the scars
Corroding her soul every time she cries
Acid thoughts through rotten bone
Rattling like chains and snakes
Bouncing off a brain of stone
Acid words through twisted tongues
The Devil's speech reaches everyone
As gossip spreads his work is done
And whispering in cowards' ears
Speaking what they want to hear
They say she boiled her own blood
Then froze it in her veins
Cried herself blind to everything but pain
Bottled all her demons 'til they burst from her breast
'Til they burst from her skull as her eyes did go dull
But like echoes in the silence broken
There came a voice that lightly pulled
The raging storm of erosion lies
Out of her mind into the skies
She began to cry in dismay
Knowing her pain could be slipping away
Instead she lay burning inside and out
Dying and crying with words spilling out
He touched her cracked lips to hush her
And said:
"Keys and rings, hopes and dreams
My darling you lust for needful things
Your souvenirs and ticket stubs
From theaters and go-to clubs
Have gotten you it's entire worth
Look at yourself
This self-inflicted mental curse
You needn't do this, you have help
Communicate with me, my love
The demons always you talk of
Show me what power they have over you
And we will defeat them with the passing of the moon"
Soothing balm to blistered wounds
Sweet lullabies and carefree swoons
Imprisoned screams soon subside
The darkness in her mind divides
And with the passing of the dreary night
So does her demons pass in their plight
And there she can lay on solemnity's bed
Under the covers she quells her poor head

- Title: Quell Me, My Demons
- Artist: The_Broken_Fox_2112
- Description: The original name of this was going to be "Switchblade Ballet" but I took it in a much different direction when I got some inspiration from a classmate in my history class. Thus it became "Quell Me My Demons" The theme is based upon my chronic depression flares that threaten to kill me and how I need people to be there for me because sometimes my demons are too powerful even for someone as strong as I am to defeat. I hope you enjoy(ed).
