• The door opened wide
    And she stepped in
    Her eyes begged for mercy,
She tasted a deep fear within

She walked straight to her bedroom
Not daring to take a glance back
    She didn't want to realize
That what they had said was a fact

“She's an ugly thing” they had said.
“Those lies, those lies!” she had thought.
But the more they insulted her,
The more her statement became naught.

    Ba-boom her heart pounded
    This wasn't fair!
    I'm the ugly duckling.
Those bullies give me quite a scare.

    She snuggled into the covers
Going over the events of the day
She wanted to find the perefect place in the world..
Heck, it was like looking for a needle in the hay!

An angel wiped away her tears
Then the angel heard her say
    “I wish I could sleep,
    all my worries away.”
