I want to start anew
With everything, not just you.
Travel to a foreign place,
Forget every familiar face.
No friends, no family, no lovers.
Maybe then I'd shed these covers.
I'd show the real me and hold nothing back.
There'd be no need for this damned mask.
I'd meet new people and do new things,
Take a chance on love and see what it brings.
I'd be wide open with no reservations,
Follow my dreams with no hesitation.
I'd dance in the rain on a cloudless day.
No problems, no cares, and no complaints.
Do what I want, go where I will,
Places to go and time to kill.

I went up to Michigan with my grandparents this summer and this was really the only thing to describe how I felt.
