Crawling, crawling, lasts the day,
Dreary, still, and lost
Within memories of May
Dearly it has cost:
For frost cold and frozen stiff,
Snow hath brought to end
Summer rays and river skiff,
Which curved 'round the bend.
Yet, water clear freely flows
'mong green grass and stone,
Calling forth the breeze who blows:
Shaking grass now grown.
Now, our lives flourish and thrive
And blossom with hope,
While dreams loose and come alive,
Wishing to elope.
