Raven in a cage
Hidden from the sun
Hidden from the light
Pining to be free.
Trapped by bars of pain
Hurting deep inside
Hurting caused by life
No room to spread its wings.
Lives only life of pain
No room to move
No room to survive
Succumbs to the Darkness.
Awakens to a click
Light comes flooding in
Light like never seen
The cage is opened.
Raven in a cage
Stares through the open door
Stares up at its saviour
Raven is now free.
