What do I see when I think of you,
A life standing before me crashing
What do I feel when I think of you,
Only hopelessness and fear
Wonderment and excitement
Is now replaced with tears
What do I do when I think of you
Wish upon the heavens
For something to remain
For nothing to fade in the distance
To pray for your existance
What else could be done
When the news arrived
It wasnt clear at first sight
But I knew in time to be right
What do I dream of when I fall asleep
To hold you closely and love so deep
What is there left inside of us
When the world turns its back
We struggle to breathe
Gasping for breath we remain
Where nothing is the same
What can I do to help you see
That what was said didn't matter
No none of it mattered to me
I saw what I wanted
I listened to its charms
But we all knew of the harm
I want to tell you I love you
But my words get in the way
How can I tell you or begin to say
This is another new step
That life has given us
Jump beside me and we will go far
Do not let them cloud you
And think everyone the same
Just know I try and hold on to what remains

- Title: What Remains...
- Artist: Akari Moon
- Description: And of all things to not be good at remembering dates and times as such. Anyhow this poem is based off someone telling you a life long secret and they end up feeling something will change in the relationship afterwards. In my case it stems from friendship but it can be applied to any kind of relationship at all. I myself can say that the poems I do create can at times may be fueled by the emotions I feel at the time. Afterwards things change or remain the same. Do enjoy this poem and other too.
